Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Heart of All Sorrow

Just finished up my latest. I tend to always go back to Ineluki, as he's one of my favorite characters in the story.

Says I need a Yahoo account to view the image. Can you make it public, Sojourn?

Re: Heart of All Sorrow

Oh, that's gorgeous, Sojourn. I love the sword, I love the antlered crown, I love the hair, and the expression on Ineluki's face.

You don't have to say yes, but would you be willing to consider having this image on a certain small Osten Ard fan website? You would be credited. No pressure. But this is beautiful.

Re: Heart of All Sorrow

I added your gorgeous image, with credit, here and here. Wow! Thank you!

You've definitely captured something in this piece, Sojourn. When I look at this, I feel the Storm King's sorrow.

Re: Heart of All Sorrow

Wow, Firsfron. I'm deeply honored by that. I really did work hard on the facial expression. I think often about the different remarks about how much Ineluki loved his people, and was the brightest flame of the Garden Born. I wanted to show that, and the darkness as well.

A... picture of Ineluki? *fangirling intensifies*

That is absolutely gorgeous, Sojourn! I love the facial expression, and the contrasting of light and dark in this picture. It creates such a sad atmosspere. I love it!

Amazing picture!

Basically, I'm Prince Josua in jeans and sneakers, or a different flavor of Renie Sulaweyo.

Re: Heart of All Sorrow

I really enjoyed both of your pieces here, Sojurn, and hope you do more for Witchwood Crown. The Sumi-e style works quite well for Osten Ard.
