Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

I just saw this at the movies yesterday evening. What a fun film. Tom Holland is really great. And also setting the scene for the next Avengers movie:-)

I was only slightly disappointed by the two post-credit scenes which were not what I hoped for (i.e. teasing Avengers or the next Thor, but the first teased the second solo Spider-Man, and the second was just meant to be funny, but fell totally flat for me).

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

It was very funny and fun, and the kid playing the new Peter was great in the role.

(I just wish they would stop rebooting Spider-Man.)

I think they are setting that one girl up to be the new Mary Jane.

They are explicitly setting her up…

Since Tom Holland is very young, he can play Spider-Man comfortably for the next ten to fifteen years I think (at the very least).

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

You thought it was explicit? I only caught a very brief reference to her calling herself MJ.

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Yes, there is only one reference, but that was quite explicit: My friends call me MJ (we don´t know what it stands for; it is not Mary Jane, since her name is Michelle throughout the movie) and much is made of the fact that she does not have any friends:-)

Also, I liked the diverse casting...
