Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

News Flash: The Church will be made physically manifest starting early next month.  Installing a hot tub in the back yard is a High Priority Project for this summer.

Ideally it'd be more "gothic flying buttresses, with stained glass". But we have to start somewhere, so, vinyl siding for now.

Re: The Church of Erotic Pantheism: Back in the Business of Pleasure

BTW, if anyone is looking for a place in the north Peninsula, we will be looking for a renter, starting June-ish.  (We'll be doing renovations during May.)  Our current roommate is likely moving with us, and we'll be using two rooms (master suite and one room for an office / library / guestroom), and that still leaves one...  There's a single-room "in-law unit" thing in back; I need to figure out whether we can immediately expand that and add a kitchenette and bathroom (which would make that a higher-value rental), or whether for the near term it'll make sense to put the office / library out there, and add onto it later.

Re: The Church of Erotic Pantheism: Back in the Business of Pleasure

Over the weekend we filled the house with poison.  (Intentionally, to kill the termites.)  That's been aired out and de-tented now, so I think we can start moving our stuff over, one carload at a time, in the next few days.  Can't clutter it up too much until the contractor is done completely re-doing the electrical system, and the attic insulation; and making some significant improvements to the plumbing and one of the doors...

Also, we're still looking for a tenant interested in moving in around end of June / early July.

Sigh.  The Hoshi kitty will not be moving with us; she died very suddenly this morning.  The vet thinks it was a stroke.  I posted a little obituary for her on DreamWidth and LiveJournal.  There are many photos on my Flickr and Plymouth's.

Really sorry to hear that, Auros. I know I was devastated when I lost my cats.

But she lived a good, long life, and that is what matters. And you gave her a wonderful life, judging from those pictures of the cat-house and snuggly beds.
