Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: SPOILERS: Just Finished The First Book...My Review

I need to get back into Shadowmarch, but with new Osten Ard coming up soon, it will probably be a while before I get around to it.

BonUs, I'd love to read that treatise!

Agreed. Although I probably need to reread Shadowmarch to really be able to follow and appreciate your treatise.

I should reread it anyway, like most of us.

Re: SPOILERS: Just Finished The First Book...My Review

I would love it if more spoke about Shadowmarch! Not so much so that they slip in spoilers, but yes! I am reading this series and to be honest, of all the modern fantasy series post-2000, I prefer this to all of them!

Granted, I still have a few authors I want to try out.

But yeah, Shadowmarch might not be as great as MST, but it's not all that for off either.

Re: SPOILERS: Just Finished The First Book...My Review

Ok, having really enjoyed the first two books, with a fee minor issues, I am happy to say that come book three I am absolutely enthralled with everything!

So much so it truly rivals MSAT for addictiveness! I really love watching Barrick grow as a character. He drove me mad in Shadowplay, but now I see he was just growing into his role, which right now I am still unsure of but that's part of the mystery! I have no idea what is coming with these characters. I thought I could predict a few threads developing but I was wrong every time!

I have a feeling by the time I finish this series I am going to really miss it.
