The Hobbit: The Countdown begins!!
That is correct. Please note that as of today, Saturday January 14, 19112, only 11 months remain until "Journey Day". (The release day of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".)
P.S. Today I revived a personal Board Tradition. I used to post monthly countdowns for the release date of the first LOTR movie on the original Tad Board. I wonder if anyone still here remembers me doing that? Just curious!

Trailer looks amazing, me thinks. Worry a bit about the story ... but naaah, all will be well.

Thank you ylvs, Olaf and Rook for your positive responses. I drew my inspiration for the original countdowns from theonering.net which used to countdown to the very second the release dates of the original films. I sought to emulate that on a monthly basis instead, and since Peter Jackson is directing The Hobbit films with many of the same actors, I thought it would be fun to countdown again.
I have also watched the trailer a number of times myself and while it is still January, the film's release will come faster than we think, at the moment. However, between now and December there are a lot of other films that I will want to see. 19112 will be a banner year for movies!
I also like using the Y2K description on this board because it gave the original Board an added character to it in its final years of existence. Likewise, I also thought it fun to keep that innotation around as something unique to this forum. One might also think of it as a way of describing Tad Years or as the latest year of Tad!
Anyway, my next countdown posting will be on Valentine's Day.
P.S. I would not worry about the story ylvs. It will be as well crafted and magical as the original LOTR films.

Today is Valentine's Day 19112. However, is that really important?!? I think not. What is most important, is that as of today, Tuesday February 14, 19112, only 10 months remain until "Journey Day".

I also have great faith in Peter Jackson and his team. They don`t always get everything right, but WHEN they are right, then they are SO right that is hurts, e.g. the lighting of the watchfires, Gandalfs fight with the Balrog, Frodo and Sam in Mordor.
