Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: QM - The Pantry

Brrrr, cold and wet today - not looking forwards to having to go to work! I hope I will at least be able to continue cleaning the workroom, and won't have to go outside much.

Got a lot of cleaning done at work, and a bit more at home, and I indeed only had to go outside once - we only had three customers all day, the weather was that horrible!

Re: QM - The Pantry

Urgh, having one of those "I hate my body" sort of days. I would prefer to drop into bed right now, but I have to look after my brother, so curling up on the couch for a while will have to do.

Maen Mint,

Autumn cold has me tightly in it's grip. Will be a day off on the sofa drinking tea and sewing torn kid's clothes ...

Drink this whilst standing on your right foot only. It should do the trick.

Re: QM - The Pantry

Lots of fun was had. And even a very ... journey (put the right word on the dots that means that my trip was quick and easy. There is a Dutch word for it 'voorspoedig', but if I translate that it says prosperous or successful, but that's not quite right. Because a trip that is arduous is successful too if it gets you there.)

Re: QM - The Pantry

Well, no apple pie after all. One of my apples had gone bad, so I no longer have enough. I'll have to pick up more tomorrow. I guess this is fate's way of saying, "You're allowed to have a totally lazy evening."

However, fate is also saying, "You haven't been to the driving school in a while, you should pay them a visit." I have to do this stupid driver security training on Sunday (stupid Austrian laws mean they won't leave you alone even after you've got your license) and I lost the paper that says when exactly and where it is/how to get there. Will have to go to the school tomorrow and ask (funny, I just saw the secretary yesterday - she was one of my customers.)

Re: QM - The Pantry

It's such lovely weather outside! I want to go hiking, but instead I have a stupid meeting at the fencing club. One of those meetings where hardly anyone shows up, and those that do get badgered into board roles...

Re: QM - The Pantry

It's been a nice day here as well.

And I had a lovely dinner - a fish my best friend's boyfriend caught (they gave it to me because I've given them a lot of apples which I got from our work-neighbour), potatoes, beans, "baby" zucchini and cucumber salad.
