It's nice to see a bit more activity in the Mint again!

I should be working on my novel, but I'm still too busy getting to know my new computer. It's so odd to sit in my room and hear nothing but my typing - none of the humming and grumbling and groaning from my old computer. Very, very strange.

Maen Mint!

Busy on my novel. I've passed the 40k mark and hope to reach 50k before Wednesday evening. Won't have much time for writing after that.

Oh... yeah... that novel... I knew there was something I was still supposed to do.
I've fallen into some kind of motivation hole again, but I really need to get a move on. I'm still ahead, I think, but I need to get done soon. Moving preparations to be made, and then my crazy Christmas market job.

It's a fail for me again.... just haven't had the time... I think I only have a couple of pages and am quite sure I won't be able to make it to 50K... darn......

Re: QM - SPQR

I have plenty of time... but seriously lacking in the motivation department. I like the basic idea behind the story, but I have no idea about the plot, and I don't know the people... they just trudge around and say, "Ok, so we're in Fairyland and have to kill people here... so what? And why is there no toothpaste here?" They spend more time whining about the absence of toothpaste and toilet paper than actually doing something.

Except one, who's just decided he's had enough, and has run away. And now I need to turn someone else into a bear.

My novel is still crawling along. And I still haven't figures out what my MC's are going to do with their Lilypad Arduinos. I just know that them finishing the project will be the final scene in the book. Now to figure out what they'll make and how to get there in 9k words.

Re: QM - SPQR

Just applied to yet another NGO job.... I so want this... please just give it to me, or at least give me the chance to talk to you guys, 'cause seriously when you talk with me, you'll know that you want me.... Pretty-pretty please??????

Yes.... I have succumbed to pleading and begging.... I so want to get going with my life... even sitting here contemplating to follow the advise of a publisher-friend who told me that I don't need experience or papers to get into  publishing.... Still have my doubts, but at this point I'm about ready to do anything....

Re: QM - SPQR

Thanks I need all the luck I can get....

An NGO is a non-profite organisation, usually charities or similar organisations.... And I really want to get into that world, as it's always been something I feel strongly about... so with a financial function in such an organisation... it's still finance, I know, but at least it's moving away from the commercial side!

Re: QM - SPQR

I still haven't got the internet to work properly. *grrr* But I don't have time to fiddle with it any longer today - need to get my bike fixed again (now the light is not working), then borrow the car and go shopping. First time driving on my own, argh!

And I had my last write-in in Vienna for this year. I can't go to the last one, or the TGIO party, because of my Christmas market job. *pouts*

Re: QM - SPQR

Bike-light is still not fixed, but I've driven out to a couple of furniture stores all by myself and the car and I made it back in one piece. It was occasionally terrifying, though.

And I've got a fantastically sore throat from all the biking in the cold last week. *coughs*

Re: QM - SPQR

G'mornin!
So it's the last day of classes before Thanksgiving break. Aaaaaand it's about 60F and quite windy outside. Am also super excited that I don't work Wed, Thurs, or Fri! So I can enjoy my no school & no work days quite thoroughly! (Except I have a hwk assignment due next Tues.. so I should probably start that over the weekend..)
So I'm just sitting here, waiting for my last class to start in... over an hour.. hmm..

Re: QM - SPQR

Trying to get back into my NaNo novel. I decided to skip ahead to the end, because I know what has to happen there, compared to the rest of the plot, which is just random bits and pieces. It's still hard to feel excited about it.

Also, I've got an annoying cold.

Too much biking in the cold last week. This had better stop before I start working on Monday.
