Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

What fun..... is that a regular thing?

Once a month - Manu and I are definitely planning to go regularly now, though that depends on me either getting my driving license and borrowing Mama's car, or getting a ride with one of the other dancers, as it's Mama's choir practise night.

I am trying to suck Ruben into dancing as well... He's already been dancing at Castlefest and got him to dance again today.... But if I can convince him we can do some courses.... Hahaha...

Today was a Castlefest day.... gorgeous weather, beautiful music, great highland-men throwing logs and cabers.... Oh if every weekend could have just one such day!!!

Also met a girl who's just started playing the harp and we exchanged email addresses so we can start jamming and having fun with music.... Yay!!!!

I've been so lazy this year, not going to a single fair except the crappy one in Linz. And now the season is ending already, and the weather is not so tempting any more, either.

Found a lot of blackberries in the forest today - yum. Also, very nearly threw a tantrum in the middle of the street because I can't have a garden.

hehe that´s a great Song. But I have to admit that I only know it thanks to the Backyard Babies who played Babylon on a concert , I followed their advice and gave Faster Pussycat a listen (Streaming and youtubbing).I really like them when I´m in the right mood. Havent bought an Album yet, though. Can you recommend one? The Babies also recorded a quite nice coverversion of Babylon together with Ginger (the Wildhearths).

Re: QM - The 80's

Got a letter from an housing agency, with an offer for a flat (which I probably won't actually get, being pretty far down on the waiting list still) - what's funny is that they offered me one in the same house about three weeks ago.
It's a rather noisy street, but it would be a nice big flat with nice big windows for a lot of plants, and a decent-sized balcony... not that I will get it, but it would be nice.

Quite sure that you will not get it (let's not jinx) but I'll be using my cross-fingers technique for the slight chance that you might..... Would be so great, not that it will happen....

Re: QM - The 80's

Is it a "Gemeindebau"? Then no, you will probably have to wait a while yet:)

*crosses fingers nonetheless*

I's on holiday! Officially! for 2 weeks! feels like the first time this year, although I had a week off beginning of August(2 days of which have been spent at the hospital for the colonoscopy), AND I'm going away this time. To Germany, 4 days only, but will be meeting loads of nice people from the interwebz ((it's like Smarch, but different. Smarch-away-from-Smarch, sort of, and only german speaking peepz).
I's excited! very much so! can it be Thursday yet? *bounces*

We don't really have those, the way Vienna does. There are only (I think) 12 flats in the building, which is why it's so funny that I got offers for two of them in less than a month.

Hmm.... this is flat 11. 11 is my "holy number".
Of course, I still won't get it.

I'll probably have Thursday and Friday off again - not much work to do. Hopefully, I'll finally have time to write. And motivation and discipline.

Lazy, "hmmm what shall we do today?" sort of day. No real work to be found. I think I spent an hour just talking with the ladyboss, we started with a horticulture exhibition and ended up complaining about TV.

Re: QM - The 80's

Feeling sort of frustrated today. I don't know precisely why, although silly customers keeping me from getting my job done (had enough work to do today) by only asking questions and not buying anything might have something to do with it.
