Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. Re: QM - The 80's

All right, dinner has been eaten, so I'll try to type up some of what I've written - spread out over three notebooks, isn't that fun? I wonder if I can piece it all together again.

Re: QM - The 80's

There's some weird fishees. One that lives near here is the "Sea Robin." It has what looks like feet! It uses those feet to anchor itself into the sand when the tides change, so it doesn't get tumbled over and over. It looks like it was designed by Hieronymus Bosch.

Re: QM - The 80's

Huh, there is apparently also a Nike shoe called sea robin. Otherwise I don't know why it would show up amongst the images of fishes.

Hiya, Sahi! How goes? The photos of the Sea Robin don't do it justice. We sat there for the longest time, just staring at this fish. It really looked like something some sci-fi special effects person cooked up in his basement!

Re: QM - The 80's

I have another one of those weird blisters I've had a couple of times over the last few years. I had the theory they're caused by phototoxic plants, but that theory just got destroyed, because that spot (on my ankle) didn't get exposed to sunlight all day.

Purple potatoes and white carrots for dinner. Brotherbeastie says, he "can't eat anything purple. That's no food!"

White carrots. Shades of Bunnicula!

BTW, I agree with Brother - food should NOT be purple.

Re: QM - The 80's

Pah. Food should be all sorts of colours. ;)
One of the many reasons I want a garden again. Everyone has orange carrots, yellow potatoes and red tomatoes. So boring.

To us people with food issues, food should be what we expect it to look like. Otherwise, we won't eat it.

Re: QM - The 80's

Hi Mint

Morning here.Got up to early if you ask me. Didnt manage to transform from sleepy/grumpy mode to "awake" status in the past 2 hours.
Mooooaar coffee ! I´m so not a morning person.
Gray& rainy day. I´m hoping for a dry and not windy evening.
I really want to see the Illumination in the park and so far I didnt go beacuse it was either raining or the wind blowing to much. I mean it doesnt have to be warm but I dont want to get soaked or blown away.

Re: QM - The 80's

*sends all the bits of non-rainy sky over to Lunar*

Even though I'll have to go grocery shopping in the rain! I don't know what that Illumination is, but it sounds a lot worthier of dryness than grocery shopping. Especially as I'll be going to Australia tomorrow. :)

Re: QM - The 80's

They have special light installations (electric and candles) in the park.  Thats what they call Illumination.
I heard that its very very nice but so far the damn weather didnt want me to go.
Austrailia tomorrow hu? I hope you´ll have a save, calm flight and tons of fun down under.
Huggle all smarchers for me :-)

Lists. Make lists. And then make more lists.
