Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Have fun playing soldier, Gen!

Starting a new project - a shawl. Rolling yarn into balls - times like this, I wish I had a yarn swift.

Okay.... I'm in desperate need of a head-replacement.... I blame Castlefest and Folkwoods for that... I just don't feel like returning the the "normal" world... It's getting absurd...

Yeah, I really loved that shirt I saw "I live in a world of my own. But it's okay, they know me there."

I do need that t-shirt... hahahaha.... But until then I'll just wear my chainmail bracelet and dragon ring.... at least they keep me sort of out there....

Just fed apple to the crickets that I have as food for my bearded dragons.... then tried apple with the bearded dragons and wowsers... they eat it up like candy!

(I feel kind of ridiculous having to feed the food of my new pets....)

Re: QM - The 80's

I have spent some time checking out some of the Castlefest photographs on their web site.  It looks like it was a lot of fun and somewhat magical.  I am glad for those who attended, that you really enjoyed it.  As for myself, I am looking forward to checking out the 18th Century Public Market in Old Montreal next weekend.

Our Dude loves melon and apple and pear. And parsley and salad(the iceberg kind). He has always access to some greens or fruits.
On feeding the food: that way you make sure your dragons get a lot of vitamins along with the protein :) We always buy new crickets before we run out so they can eat themselves fat with good fruits and veggies.

I'm very glad I only have to feed Ivo. Most of his food I like too. (And vice versa.)

Well... I'll definitely not be eating Gaia and Medea's food.... now bleeding way!!! Hahaha...

@ Sisterde: I know... but I wasn't really in to it yet when they were suddenly delivered.... am still a bit bit 'ieuwwww' with the crickets (can't wait till they get bigger to give them larger creatures)...
Oh by the way... do you put calcium on the crickets every time you feed the beasties? Any way that I can get calcium in them without having to dust the crickets? Gaia got herself a per accident undusted cricket and seemed to enjoy that way more....
Oh, and parsley.... will definitely try that out... they have paksoi and apple now and love it....

Heh, the crickets are kinda gross(especially when they escape. which they'll do. and you'll have no idea how they did it. sorry:D ). we had small locusts, but they're a bit on the expensive side, we get them as special treats every now and again.
we feed dusted crickets every other day, and the Dude seems to like it, so we dump the rest of the calcium/multivit powder over his greens or on a stone and he licks it from there. they're much more fun undusted though, especially if you let them hunt.
have they started to shed skin yet? that's most fascinating

Oh wow.... so I'll try doing the one-day-on one-day-off method.... it's much more fun seeing them hunt... and I'll try the stone thing as well.... thanks!!

His Catness just had a crazy turn..... came galloping in the living room and smashed against a little bit of aluminum foil which then turned into the perfect toy... *snortgiggle*

By the way, Mr Bobby is F A S C I N A T E D by the bearded dragons.... he lies in front of the terrarium for hours on end.... meowing to me when I turn off the light.... he's a funny lad...

Re: QM - The 80's

I´m... I dunno really.
Allways something inbetween feeling allright and panic.
Cause I´m still not done with my ba thesis thingie and every now and than that monster with the bad feelings about that jumps out of its corner and scares the hell out of me. Than I´ll beat the shit out of the monster and it will go back where it came from.
No I´m not crazy... I think. Am i?

But beside that I´m ok *g*
how about you?

Re: QM - The 80's

and I´m thinking about finally getting a tattoo.
I wanted that Pearl jam Stickman since I´m 15 and I´m really really considering getting it...
and than I saw this Artwork  that would make a good tattoo I think. And its not so simple and "everybody has it" as the stickman is.
And I think I´ll finish my book now and than go to bed. Hoping the monster doesnt hide under the bed

I so know about thbat monster... you're not crazy....
I'm haing serious urges to flee lately.... just pick up my stuff and creatures, change my car to a sustainable environment for the cat and dragons and drive off towards wherever.... but then again.. I am sort of going nuts at work now...

Hello Mint! Today's a day off. Youngest and I are going to the Aquarium and lunch. It's a annual tradition we started a few years back.

There's an albino alligator at the Aquarium! I'm excited.

Back from visiting friends and family. Ridiculously tired now, and again not feeling like going back to work tomorrow. I'd so much rather stay up late and write a bit - I finally got back into it these last few days.
