Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Why is it that whenever I want to get up to go to bed, the cat jumps onto my lap?

Oh yay. It's snowing again, and I'll get to hike through that in a bit to get to my sales training.

Re: QM - Lithium

*has thoroughly had enough of snow*

I'm ever so glad I don't have to leave the house today. They say it's at least -5, and that it's likely to feel as -17. (Celcius)

But now I have to find some motivation to actually work.

*grumbles* Seems like I'm being slotted into the "mass mail-out" and "database updater" role on the team. *sigh*

Books on CD do make the tasks easier. I gave up on the Wheel of Time. Too many people. Too confusing. I'm listening to "Brother Odd" by Dean Koontz now.

Someday will find you.

Re: QM - Lithium

I wasn't too happy about the snow when I left this morning (makes it hard to walk) but it's soooo pretty. Everything's sparkling.

Re: QM - Lithium

I like to look at snow. I do not like shoveling snow, driving in snow, or dealing with small children in-and-out of snowsuits, boots, etc., or any of the other inconveniences that come along with snow.

Someday will find you.

Re: QM - Lithium

It's a bother, sure, but I just have to have snow for a couple of weeks every year. A winter without snow, that's just not right. It's like a spring without flowers, or a summer without ice cream or an autumn without colourful leaves.

Re: QM - Lithium

One can never get enough snow!!!! I absolutely love it!!!!  Unfortunately, the high yesterday in my little corner of the planet was 7 celsius with regular rain.  Fortunately, the snow was not wiped out from it but I want more snowstorms and extreme cold temperatures (minus 18 celsius, minus 21 celsius, minus 28 celsius, minus 33 celsius, minus 37 celsius, etc.)  Thus far, January has been milder than usual, with temperatures just below freezing. (minus 1 celsius, minus 3 celsius, minus 6 celsius, etc.)

Humph. As much as I hate making phone calls, what I hate even more is having mentally prepared myself for making one, and then no-one answers.

It's sunny now, and snowing very slightly - now even the air is sparkling. It's so pretty!

Re: QM - Lithium

*Happily sends her own snow and cold weather to PeterJW* There you can have it. We've had way too much of it already. Snow was supposed to be rare over here.
