Our cats leave ours alone. Sometimes, they'll play with the ornaments, if they are low enough.

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)
I took my cat to my parents on Christmas day last year and the first thing she did was to jump straight into the tree.... Not taking ANY risks here!!! *smirk*

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)
Me either. I know my cats too darn well. A tree wouldn't last an hour in here.
I took a ride on my bycicle today and found myself face to face with a stag. He was totally unimpressed with that human on two wheels on the other side of the fence. I love these encounters with our local wildlife!
I've been writing the entire evening until I couldn't make the words make sense anymore. I have dusted off the book I have been working on for the last 5 years and I'm making real progress now. The stuff that is 5 years old badly needs a rewrite. My writing style has changed a bit since I started. I just hope I can keep inspired.
I'm off to bed now, before I fall asleep with my face on the keyboard. ZZZzzzzzz

*peeks in*
Had a nice weekend with my best friend - butterfly show in the botanical gardens, Mama's Christmas choir concert, making Christmas cards and baking cookies.
And I got the discount bus pass! Yay!
Will have to leave again soon to get to that silly and probably utterly pointless education thingy. Still, I guess that's better than sitting at home for another three months waiting for spring.

OK, that education thingy may not be so bad after all. It means, apparently, that I'll get a bit more money. I don't know if any of the things they offer will be any use to me... the forklift truck license might, so I guess that's what I'll work on after Christmas.

Just see this as the start of the actuality of getting a driving license... if you're not dangerous with a FORKLIFT TRUCK, then a car is just no problem at all!

I really need to find time for practise drives with Mama again. It's not easy right now, since my best friend is spending a lot of time at our place right now.
Anyway, I should go to bed.

Feeling ridiculously tired. But biking in the cold is surprisingly pleasant.

Lunch! Going to the yarn store for more yarn and another set of needles.

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)
Yay for more yarn! I keep planning to go yarn-hunting... will be easier now that I have the bus pass and don't have to bike all over the place, but there's still the issue of money.

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)
Sock yarn was on sale, so I bought more than I originally intended. They were out of Size 2 DPN, tho. Or at least the bamboo ones, which I prefer to metal.

I use that mantra several times a day, but seeing as I don't believe in it, it really doesn't help that much...

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)
*drops into mint belatedly*
This was one day....
Worked until 1 then had international foodfest which made me need to walk a little as there was just too much good food... To my amazement my bread&butter pudding was cleaned out completely... Then we had the white elephant gift exchange and until the very last person I got stuck with a bud-ugly clock that would have gone straight into the bin, as even my enemies would not receive such a present from me... and then... my director was drawn and he STOLE MY UGLIEST CLOCK OF THE WORLD and I ended up with a digital photo frame!!! And then, to the destruction of our minds we were NOT let out of work and I had to get my mind out of eating and celebrating and back into financing and silliness.... Then to my parents and helped my dad clear out their hired storage and put everything in my storage space in the MOST UNORGANIZED MANNER EVER which means that now I have to climb over closets to get into the door... then he brought me back to my car and I drove home and now I have to create another couple of cards... *sobs*... I wish for less of these days... please!

*huggles Libra* It is okay. Just breathe.
ETA: I don't' believe my mantra, either. In fact, I'm dusting off my resume early next year and taking it shopping.

Okay... Christmas cards-that-need-to-be-send have been finished while listening to x-mas music (which I now know my cat adores, she laid herself down as close to the boxes as possible).... now I'm going to bed... gosh it's way too late again!
*huggles mint goodnight*

I really need to go to bed, too. But I never want to get up when Gandalf is sleeping on my lap. I think he's hibernating, too - and for some reason, he has to do it on my lap, or at least in my room.
