Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

I avoid newspapers. They make my head hurt.

Time to go home! Shopping first. New clothes! Hot damn!!!!!!

It seems we (brotherbeastie and me) can only think of presents for Mama - we don't know what to give each other, our other brother and our father.

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)

I bought a heck of a lotta clothes. And a gorgeous outfit for the Christmas party tomorrow.

I have problems thinking of giftees for people, too, Magpie.

Time to head off and try to get that discount bus pass. *rolls eyes at how complicated that seems to be*

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)

Hmpf.
I'll probably get it, but they need a few more proofs that we are poor enough to qualify. And then, of course, that bus pass doesn't count for the bus company I need to get to the stupid education program the employment agency put me in.

*waves at Em*

*grumbles to self*
I'm ready to bet we just earn a couple of euros too much to get the discount pass. Won't find out for sure until Monday, though.
I expect there will be many cold and wet bike rides this winter.

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)

*drops into mint*

I'm exhausted.... trying to teach kids how to dance while also trying to keep them focussed and then getting different directions from the "leaders of the christmas play" every week is no fun... I've been through three different musical pieces already (and of course had to change the dance accordingly) and now, only TWO WEEKS before Christmas, they decide that the girls have to carry silver balls and take a tablecloth with them... How on earth will I manage to get that incorporated in the dance???

I solemnly swear I shall NOT participate in next year's play.... it's just too much chaos....

Loved your story by the way!

Tomorrow I'll be doing bad things for my house. Got me 75 euros in book-certificates.... YAY! And shall spend them in a manner that befits my reading nature....

Re: QM - The North Pole (A Ghost of Christmas Past)

It's not my story. Ceywren wrote it a few years back. I just dusted it off and re-posted.

Time to go home! And get ready to P-A-R-T-A-Y!!!!

Still very busy. Will be at least until the end of the month. Making Christmas presents.

I'm knitting as quickly as I can, Sahi, to finish some Christmas prezzies. The problem is that work keeps getting in the way!
