I guess I should update this thread, eh? I did two articles on a dude known as Bleedman. He's apparently one of the biggest draws in wecomicdom... at least if you're the kind of person who likes reading manga. Most of his comics are doujinshi (which is basically fanfic done Japanese style). Check out the review of Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi on my site and his original work Sugar Bits on ComixTalk. One of my readers also brought my attention to a Grim & Mandy doujinshi out there, which he tells me is a total train-wreck. Well, since the premise is "Grim & Mandy get married & have kids," I don't doubt him for a single moment.
I also did a review of a journal-style comic done in abstract form called Silly Daddy. The author, Joe Chiappetta, was nominated for several awards back when the comic saw print publication in the 90's, and he's continued his work on the web. The art takes a while to get used to, but as far as autobiographical comics go, I feel it's one of the most honest.
