Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Exactly, Sahi. Have to take a break. My I-Pod needs recharging. Then, once more, into the fray!

Maen Mint.

Seems empty in here, but I just don't have anything better to do with the time that remains this day.

Well, I got some cleaning done. And my new dishes arrived. (I ordered more.)

Four more dinner plates (in sunflower).
A gravy boat (in red).
Two relish trays (in red).

Maen Mint!

Going out for diner/drinks with some writing friends today. And I even got Tomcat running on my EEE. (Needs Tomcat to get JSPWiki running for her writing wiki.)

*yawn*
Just wanted to take a short nap after coming home and eating - ended up sleeping for over three hours.
On any other day, it would now be bedtime, but luckily, it's Friday.

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Made room for the Otherland books, and took measures for the next bookcase. Maybe I'll wander over to the DIY store tomorrow... but I suppose I should finish my repair projects (balcony bench and table) before I start something new.

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

I decided to take next Friday off. Need time for my Season Change Cleaning, and more importantly, I'm getting quite fed up with things at work. Have to play boss at the seedling-pricking table, with a couple of "borrowed" apprentices, and some of them are lazy and useless. I'm sick of having to yell at people.

*drops in*

I'm so tired..... crazy day in which we trampled out a contract on the last possible second of the validity of the deal... then crazy kids screaming and not listening.... and all that combined with constantly stressing on how to get from a to b without a car....

*stretches out on the sofa*

Is there a sofa in this mint??

*thinks up a sofa and places it in the corner*

Company! Yay!

I realized today it's been a month since the Vienna moot, and have spent the last couple of hours wishing for another moot.

Hey.... how's life?? I really need some excitement and not the deal-making, quotation-receiving, money-saving-not-for-myself type of excitement....

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Excitement? H-r-r-r-m-m-m.

Seems in short supply these days. I have daughter-ness, does that count?

My sister got married today. She felt Friday the thirteenth was an auspicious day to get married on.

Tomorrow is pi day. 3.14.

I dunno. Feels the other way round to me - the moots being not quite real...

But life is so damn boring. *sigh*

Isn't that Tad's birthday as well?

Two Friday the thirteenths in a row. That's what made me realize it's been a month since Vienna.

Life is way too boring!!! I've actually looked at a website with non-profit jobs and was near tempted to apply for a position in the middle of nowhere... but I couldn't do that to bf...

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

I can't even think of anything I would want to do. I keep telling myself I have to go out more, but ... *sighs* I wouldn't even know where to go on my own, or what to do.
