Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

QM - Cupcake heaven

Cupcakes everywhere! Even the bar is covered in them.

[edit] Oh, and of course there are pink cupcakes too! [/edit]

Maen Mint.

I notice the US has gone all crazy and skipped an hour into the future. That, or I'm somehow locked an hour in the past. The alternative being that the US has started DST a little early.

All this talk about food, makes me have to check if someone's planning to cook and if not, start doing so myself.

*hands Kuno a cupcake*

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 changed DST to starting on the second Sunday in March and ending on the 1st Sunday in November.

Whether or not the US has gone all crazy is still up for discussion.

More goddamn begonia seedlings, my back hurts again, I think it's time for another bit of relaxing in the bathtub before I attempt to do Useful Things.

Little shop of mysteries. A find and seek game.

Hmpf, installing JSPWiki isn't going to work. For some reason Tomcat won't even start.

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Working on my Regal Pelargoniums paper. Trying to figure out how to get them to flower.
Books and school notes all over my desk. What fun. At least I have a proper desk now, not the little camping table I was using the last time I had papers to write for school (although Tolkien and History of Japan were more interesting).

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Maen Mint. As suspected, cooking came down to me (so to stick with Sahi's checklist):

Sahi wrote:

Cooking - done
Eating - done

And it was good. Chili con carne.

Sahi wrote:

Folding laundry - done
Installing JSPWiki - to do
Making Duchess newsletter - to do

Does not apply. Unless you count the laundry this morning, but then it does not apply for reason of too long ago.

Sahi wrote:

Play game - to do

Well... I wasn't planning to, so I guess it doesn't apply either.

And then we miss:
Cleaning the toilet and bathroom - done
Checking if the 'green' garbage was taken care of, or taking it out myself - done (it was)

So I'm just going to sit back and relax, and probably enjoy my cupcake with the flavor: "Death by Chocolat"

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Good night, Mint.

I'll try adding a nap after dinner to my evening schedule. Maybe that'll give me the energy to get started on Useful Things sooner.

Re: QM - Cupcake heaven

Time for me to go home. This evening, I plan to:

Scan at least 10 new photos
Download the data files necessary for Oracle homework
Do one load of laundry

That is all.

*verdants*

Someday will find you.

Oh dear... are we on "to do lists"?

I'm not listing my to-do-things.... it would only make me depressed... *giggles*
