Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: QM - The pink stables

Gonna kick myself out of my chair and go do something moderately useful and evil. Maybe I'll feel less tired afterwards, but I suspect not.

Whee! I just realized I have half an hour of overtime left. So I get to go home early. :)

Re: QM - The pink stables

*returns*

Well, I do feel better after some biking and evil research. Even though the family invasion has happened again, and now there is a political discussion going on outside my door. And any kind of discussion involving my dearest godmother's husband is extremely annoying.

I think I should go finish up my work on the balcony. A few more flowers to plant, and perhaps the chives. I think they're finished with their discussion.

There's a new chinese restaurant in town, billing itself as a "Chinese Bistro." Gonna check it out for lunch today.

Re: QM - The pink stables

Apparently our beloved visitors will stay the night. Dearest godmother and I already had an argument about whether my room is "romantic" (thanks to my pink curtain) or whether it merely appears romatic to her. She cannot understand that pink is magical and funny, not romantic. If it weren't for the pink magic, it would simply be horrible.

Woah! I just checked what the difference between a normal ticket and a business class ticket (to Melbourne) is. And even worse than I expected the difference is 300%! (About 1500 for a cheap ticket and 4900 for a business class ticket.)

Yeah, the markup is totally insane for single tickets. That's why you have to go on round the world trips, where business class is barely twice the cost of economy. ^_^

Re: QM - The pink stables

Now that I think about it, I'm quite astonished there was no spitting-all-over-the-place and near-choking in Vienna.

Re: QM - The pink stables

The depression this place (my work) is causing in slopping over into my non-work life. I thought I could ride it out, milk it for the paycheck, until I finished my degree, but I don't think that is possible. It is just too mind-numbing boring.

Time to look for a new job.

*refrains from tickling the Magpie*

*warily eyes the Magpie menace which (apprently) was but barely avoided back in Vienna* It was totally xavie's idea to tickle you; I had nothing to do with it! *looks innocent and not at all like someone who should be hit*
