We did have several snowball fights at work already. :)
However, I could hardly get to the bus stop in the morning, as I have no idea where my boots are, and the snow was deeper than my shoes.

I do not miss the daily to-ing and go-ing in the snow.
Once in a while, though, it would be nice. *sighs*

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
I enjoy the snow too much right now to be annoyed by the difficulties. And I don't suppose it will last long enough to become annoying.
I enjoy work right now, but the other apprentice girls are getting impossibly cheeky and insolent. *growls* Especially one of them - well, if she enjoys being yelled at daily, she can get that. Sadly, the sort-of boss, who is also her instructor, lets her do whatever she pleases.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
Gah. Don't remind me of phones. Yesterday, four girls were standing in the workroom, and not one of them went to answer the phone when it rang (I was at the end of one of the largest greenhouses and couldn't get to the phone in time). When I asked them why they hadn't answered the phone, they didn't even acknowledge my presence. Might as well have talked to (well... yelled at) the wall.
If they think I'll forget that, they're mistaken, the little bitches.

I have this wonderful button marked "send calls," which sends the calls to my voicemail, to be dealt with later. *cackles evilly*

And now, to bed. What an exciting day.
Tomorrow is my dear father's birthday. Can't say I look forward to calling him.

I walked home from the bus stop in a raging snowstorm this evening. It was quite special and jubilant, especially when I had to walk through the snow dunes in a school yard.

I remembered to bring my MP3-player today. And we have speakers in the office. *glees while listening to Faun*

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
I am totally flabbergasted. I had my IDE create a project at a location and added a file to that project. Eclipse can read that file just fine, but Windows can't find it at all...

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
Nope, I opened eclipse, used the wizard to create a new project there, and then used the wizard to create a new file. Then I went into the explorere to see if the folder was there and it wasn't. I can't even find the file when I search my C drive. It's just not there. Yet when I close down and restart Eclipse, it can find the file just fine. And in the properties of the file it really states that location.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
And another weird thing. My CPU is at 50%, but there isn't a process (visible) that is using those resources...

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
Oh, wait. There was a button that said "show processes from all users". It's svchost that is using half my CPU.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
Nope. I created the workspace in Eclipse as well and it's just not there on the system.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
I can only find that workspace if I try to open it from Eclipse. It's really, really weird.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
maybe it's created as a hidden file?
Another suggestion - in the process manager, does it say that Eclipse is being virtualized? Vista runs some applications in their own virtualized sandbox, and there's a special hidden directory under your home directory in which it puts virtual copies of a lot of the standard directories that applications expect - I gather it's to force applications that aren't designed for it to support per-user settings.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
The weird thing is that I'm showing hidden files in my Explorer and I'm still not seeing it. How can I see if it's virtualized?

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
To see the virtualization status of a process in task manager, just add that column to the view (View|Select Columns)
The special folder is in %HOME%\AppData\VirtualStore (%HOME% being, of course your user directory under \Users)

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint
Hmm, I'll search for the virtual store then, cause apparently there's no add column functionality anymore in the Vista task manager...
