Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

I usually find it more difficult to do useful things on my days off. I get so used to being allowed to be lazy... on workdays, it's not so easy to go into laziness-mode.

Which is why I should take down the garbage and put the laundry in the dryer and do the dishes before I allow myself to relax, because once I'm fully relaxed, I'm not getting out of my chair till bedtime.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

OK, all the stuff that requires running-up-and-down-of-stairs is done. My feet don't feel up to standing by the sink to do the dishes yet.

It's nice outside today - warm enough to go outside with just a sweater.
Still wearing my lovely sweaterthing, though I suppose it's time to wash it. I feel kind of weird, not having anything to knit...

Only because our mid-term was a group project, and I didn't want to let anyone else down.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

I'm trying to write again... I really should prepare for bed, but there is a story-in-the-story to be told, and it's fun to try and remember old legends I never wrote down.

Yes, indeed, Magpie, write. But do not sacrifice your sleep (perchance to dream)!

Must sacrifice more sleep to eat some more (and to giggle about a comic book by an Austrian caricaturist - I only read the first strip, and died laughing)

OK, off to bed at last.

(And, note to self: stories-in-a-story are easier to tell if they are not legends that were made up years ago and never written down.)

Maen Mint!

Starting ridiculously early today, so I can leave early too. (I could leave early without starting late, but I'm hoarding my time off.)

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

Time to go for a walk. I'll be sitting still all day (which isn't such a good idea after that pie), and the weather is reasonable right now.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

I'm not exactly warm here either. But that is due to a problem with the heating. Oh well, only one more hour left to go.

Re: QM - The Genisis X is leaving Mint

Gah, I've got a pesky little bug in my code that I can't find. It's probably a silly typo, but I'm not seeing it.
