Re: QM - The Shiny New Room!
I did, actually :D But my big toe is the only one I have the necessary control over, and it is too big for the keys.
*shrugs* My keyboard is disgusting enough as it is.

Now Mama is at home, and I want to knit, but I don't want her to see it yet... I know, it's stupid.

Wait! Some surprises are stupid. But not your knitting surprise.

Re: QM - The Shiny New Room!
It's not actually supposed to be a surprise, it's just... I don't want anyone to look at it until I know I've done it right. In fact, I might have told Mama, but the topic of knitting came up while I was talking to her and my granny, and I pretended I hadn't started anything new, because I didn't want granny to look at it - I like her, but she's exhausing sometimes, and I didn't want her to comment on my knitting. And now I don't want to tell Mama I lied.

I wouldn't be hiding socks. No, this is supposed to turn into a sweater eventually... I hope.

It wasn't a lie, per se, it was an omission of fact. :oP

Gah! I was just about to leave, when co-counsel chimed in. Their copy machine is broken and needs my help on a mailing.

Aha! What kind of neckline are you going to do?

Whew! Mailing's too large for me to handle to get it out in the mail. And co-counsel is in Central time zone. So, I get to go home. Yeah!!!

A simple round one. Somebody on a gardening forum linked to relatively simple instruction for making raglan sweaters, and when I got bored, I just started with some bits of yarn I had left from various other projects, so if it works, I'll have a blue-and-purple striped sweater.

Re: QM - The Shiny New Room!
The only thing about doing a round neckline is make sure it not so tight that you can't get it over your head. I'm rather partial to raglan sleeves because it's can be much easier to sew together than other sleeve types.

*giggles*
Funny how minds work sometimes....
Mine did not work at all today... I kept thinking it was Monday....on top of that I had nothing at all to do and kept going back to my manager to ask for work (please!!!) and he would ask me to... you know.. send an email.... so five minutes later I'd be back asking for more work... cannot believe I lasted all the way to five o'clock... And of course the day started out all wrong because I felt I should not have to work the day after new year's day when it's weekend the next day....

Re: QM - The Shiny New Room!
I'm glad I took today off - I did it mostly because we always visit people for New Year, and don't get home until late, or sometimes not until the 2nd.
