Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

*waves*

I've now discovered I'm totally worn out and must hide here for the rest of the day, drink tea and avoid my family. And turn off the phone.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

*waves*

Stayed up late, slept late, and feel more rested than I have in a while. Maybe I just needed to have fun.

It's a rainy day, and I've been thinking about how that would be a good way to be compassionate, instead of a blur of people far away, imagining how they feel on a rainy day.

*waves at Marian*

Rainy days make me either: grumpy, 'cause they mess with my sinuses; or all snuggily with a book.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

It's rainy and foggy today. I just end up feeling like I'm living on the English moors, waiting for the ghosts of long-lost loves to haunt me.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

I shouldn't be on the computer. I might have people trying to call me for new jobs.

Man, I feel so dark-ages, here on dial-up, no cell phone. Usually I like it that way, but looking for a job, hmmm.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

Yay, almost time to go home again. Busy day, with lots of talking and even some cleaning. So we now have four desks again. (Until this morning one of them was filled up with a server and a monitor, and another was filled with stacks of paper.)

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

And now I think I'll go to bed. Even though it's only 6:30.
I'll probably wake up in the middle of the night, and not be able to go back to sleep, but I can't think of anything to do any more.
Tomorrow's got to be better, dammit.

A bit.  I'm at work today, but my head and nose are still stuffed up and my throat hurts.  But the good news is that it's Friday and then I'll have two more days of rest.

Dum-dee-dum. I'm so uninspired to work. Have a filing or two (with the Court) to do this afternoon. So, so, so.
