Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

QM - an underground lair where....

This is where the fungus and molds are grown. Those pre-adapted to a ... "subterranean" life style (Dwarves, Gnomes [1e goodness only if you please - take that 4e!], Goblins, etc., etc.) should feel right at home.

Only the best and strongest draughts available, although the rates are rather steep and the refreshment per se IS rather "tailored" to the primary "clientele"....

****

Or ... in other words, welcome to you all! Wasn't Em going to get a poor fungus a drink? ;)

Edit: Hmm ... I wonder if anyone in the boards will understand what in the world I am writing about in this thread?

Ah well ... didn't think it would get much in the way of replies. ;)

Mycanid -- there is only one QM open at a time. When the current QM has reached 25 pages, we burn it down and will move to your "underground lair."

*hugs*

ETA: Read this for more information.

*waves goodbye to Marian*

This will be neat:  In a few minutes, fifteen C-17 aircraft will fly in formation over the Ravenel bridge, which is just outside our office and viewable from my boss's office.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

Whee! Almost time to go home!

I probably won't be online tomorrow, as both my bosses will be here as well.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

I'm back for a bit!

I don't think I have mentioned, but I have been sort of offered the job I've been interviewing for - the one with nice hours and lovely children? So that's cool.

There's a downside, but I'm trying not to focus on that too much yet until we've gotten a chance to talk more. (Playing phone-tag right now.)

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

Yes, it is, I think! They seem to be offering fewer hours than I was told at first, (20-25 instead of 25-30), and that's quite a bit less manageable for me, even though they are offering a generous hourly rate. Again, trying to focus on the positive until we get to talk....

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

I think I might go to the pub tonight. I haven't been in ages, and I hate to go broke, but I do miss everyone. And tonight is the special Christmas show, which is always goofy and fun.

:)

Aww, you poor dear.

I've been lucky so far this year. It's an upside to being an almost-hermit, I guess!

*sigh* I hope someone will buy me a drink tonight.
