Re: the Monday Morning Kuaterback Klub,
Whew, the Hawks stop their skid to 0-3 with a win over the Rams. That said, I think the 1-2 group is in good company. The Jags and Colts are there, and those are usually pretty good teams. I'm starting to think, by the way, that New York is going to surprise everyone by going to the Superbowl this year despite being defending champs, while either the Broncos or the Bills totally surprise everyone by getting far in the post-season.
Also, an evilish grin spread on my face when I heard the Patriots went down to the lowly Dolphins.

Kianor wrote:well, they're 2-1 now thanks to the Eagles.
My Broncos are 3-0... but barely. one of these days the fact that we play both sides of the ball with our offense might catch up to us.
and way to go Wiked. except with the teams you've played, your 3-0 is more like 1.5-0.
lesee, the broncos throttled the raiders, just skinned by a chargers team that don't look all that invincible, and just outlasted the saints, Sure they can score, but they havent been able to stop anyone either,
and besides starts this good are rare here in western NY let me savor it before they blow it

Re: the Monday Morning Kuaterback Klub,
So ... the Detroit Lions ... any chance they'll win even one game this year?
The Millen firing was long overdue and rightly applauded, but the other two moves, I'm not so sure. Trading Roy Williams? Three draft picks, sure, but he was the only guy watchable on that team. Putting Kitna on IR, effectively ending his Lions' career? He was the only guy on the team crazy enough to believe that they could string together 10 wins this season (and enthusiasm is bonus points to me). What really gets me is the anti-Kitna trash talk and, conversely, the praise of Orlovsky. What? The guy who ran out of bounds in a game decided by two points? Man, fans were loving him last year, even though the Lions were losing. Guess I know what they mean when they say Lions quarterback and Red Wings goalie are the two toughest jobs in Detroit.
I honestly don't know why I'm still following Lions drama. My numero uno team is still the Seattle Seahawks. Must be my latent masochism.

Wheee! Australia vs Italy in the rugby union.
Should be a good game. Italy has never beaten us but they are the favourites for some reason...

My boys are in the Su-per Bowl! My boys are in the Su-per Bowl! My boys are in the Su-per Bowl! /singsongy voice
YAY!!!! GO STEELERS!!!! And my boy Troy caught the interception he'd been aiming for all day and scored the final TD to put us way over the top. The only bad thing was the horrible collision between our Clark and the Ravens' McGahee. What energy the Ravens had left after Troy's TD, it left the field with McGahee on the stretcher..hell, he took much of the Steelers' energy as well. The entire stadium was pretty subdued after they took him to be examined.
But then there was less than 2 mins on the clock and they'd pretty much accepted the inevitable. Big Ben and the offense went back out to down the ball a few times and let the clock run out, and it was over.
Super Bowl party here I come! (translation: chips'n'dip at stepdad's in 2 weeks. *grin*)

Re: the Monday Morning Kuaterback Klub,
Congrats, dragondawn!
Me, I'm rooting for the Cardinals. No offense, but I cannot betray my NFC West brothers. Also, the Steelers completely ripped Seattle heart a few years ago, and I'm cruisin' for a little payback, Kurt Warner style.

Re: the Monday Morning Kuaterback Klub,
Bold prediction: TO will be a poison to the locker room.
(You heard it here first!)
But seriously, I like TO. I think he gets blamed for a lot of stuff he's not directly responsible for. And I'd love to have him on the Seahawks if we actually had a coach who could rein him in (a la Bill Belichek).
