Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Sculptor's Corner

Any other artists or sculptors here?   I'd love to see your work, and share my own with anyone interested.    :)     Feel free to post pics of your stuff!

This last one is my current piece in progress.  :)

The biggest chunk of my work is here though.

Re: Sculptor's Corner

Ooh, what a lovely new place. So can you describe what kind of sculptures I'll find in here? (I could go and look at the pictures, but somehow descriptions feel better to me.)

I'm not a sculptor by the way. I've done a lot of arts (not excelling in any, but enjoying them nonetheless), but sculpting isn't really one of them. I've made a vase out of clay for a school project (thought I never really got to finish it) and I made a small statuette of a hippo out of the greenish kind of stone (the one you can file at). But that is truly all I remember ever doing.

Words paint beautiful pictures too!  ;)  I dont mind at all.     You'll find small creatures and large, painted in shimmering jeweltones.    Scaled lions with reptilian wings...dragons that hide in seashells....and feathered, flying turtles, with gems imbedded in their shells.  These creatures live in a world called Aeristoria, a planet with layers of floating continents, rotating around a heated oceanic core.   :)

Ah...and small species of griffins, with large catlike ears and chirruping calls, small enough to sit in your hand.    Wonderful, loyal, and loving pets.       One of my favorite creatures.

Trees also grow there, that have hanging lampfruits, where a purple chesire tabby naps, sleepily dreaming.   Her dreams are the seeds of creation, and her tree is hidden in the darkest forest of Aeristoria.

Me thinks this neighborhood is in a lonely part of town...

Skeeter out.
