Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: DOGBLOG: Watershed. (Not Miiru's shed.)

Hi.  How is everyone?  I can't wait for things to calm down a bit (perhaps around Xmas...) and me to be able to post things properly again.  It's just...busy.  We're very close on the new site, and there's that and all kinds of other stuff, not to mention actual work (like the kind that theoretically allows one to earn a living.)

So that's me.  An entire generation of my sea monkeys have grown up without really getting to know me, because I don't have time to talk to them, listen to their problems, just generally be there for them.  Poor little guys.

And I think I have kids and a wife, too.  And dogs -- or perhaps that part was only a nightmare.

Anyway, I haven't forgotten my friends here, I'm just up to my eyebrows in craziness.  None of it bad, I hasten to say.  No tragic family secrets, no medical problems.  I'm just in the middle of a bunch of stuff -- somehow I wound up as the center of a Venn diagram this last few months.

But I love ya, I swear.  Goodnight Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea!  Remember the Alamo!  Back soon!

Things settling down. Around Christmas. For some reason that sounds very unlikely to me...

Yeah, I don't think its possible to settle down after Christmas. I was playing my new game for over six hours straight Christmas Eve night last year.

Re: DOGBLOG: Watershed. (Not Miiru's shed.)

Okay, we have visitors in town from both England and Canada, Thanksgiving on Thursday, and I'm going to Singapore on Friday.

Other than that, things are quite calm.

I think I'll make it back on the board before then, but if not, Happy Thanksgiving!  We're almost done with the new site -- just solving some message-board issues, actually -- and our own StrangeShe has been doing a fabulous job of coordinating things.  Praise her with much praise.

Praise!

Okay, I'm outta here.
