Re: Infinity's
The heat has been cruel here. we had to work barefooted today, with the boss spraying the ground and our feet with water (he actually ordered us to take off our shoes!).
It started raining tonight, just when I was finishing my gardenwork, and i was really happy, but then it started hailing pretty heavily, and now I'm veeery worried about my flowers and my precious tomatoes.

It's actually really cool here right now. It's nice. If it weren't so humid it would be lovely.

Re: Infinity's
today is supposed to be te hottest day of the week (and ve've been at nearly 40°C on Monday) *groan* at least I'm not at work. And the ground is properly wet so I don't need to worry about my garden.

It's been at about 8*c here at the best. And I'm on the coast. It's not supposed to get cold on the coast!

It's somewhere in between 20 and 25 degrees Celcius here. But it's so humid!

Re: Infinity's
we've had mostly hot and humid conditons here all week, with the occasional thunderstorm in the afternoon. yesterday, however, we had a tornado warning with some serious storms blowing through. 1/3 of one of the trees on my property broke off and landed in the driveway of my next door neighbor.

Re: Infinity's
Yikes! That sounds terrible. Storms are so freaky.
We had rain all day today. So strange for this time of year but I'm not complaining. :)

That midnight trip to the bookstore was a bit of good fun. Luckily, we had a pretty low number (relatively), so we were home by 12:30AM.

I have to take my son out of town tomorrow for his three month check-up following his eye surgery.
I so hate travelling. I'm a little ball of nervous terror.
Wish us well, 'kay?
Oh, I picked up the last copy of H.P. in town this morning. *g*

Re: Infinity's
Hope your trip went well Jen ~ I'm sure it did. And you had the book to read *g*
We went to the bookstore for midnight as well - were 5th in line of about 300 people so we were home early as well - it was good fun to be part of it. Then I FINALLY got to see the movie yesterday afternoon. We took our books to the theatre to read while we were waiting for the movie to start.
Go big or go home, right?

Re: Infinity's
I went to the midnight book release as well. I was maybe 1/3 of the way down the line. But you had to show your receipt beforehand and get an armband and so the line went FAST. They just snipped the armband off and handed you a bag with a book in it.
I had chatted with people for a few minutes, walked 3 blocks home and started reading by about 12:20.
Read as much as I could when I wasn't at work or sleeping on Saturday and Sunday morning and then last night started reading right after work and straight through until I finished the book sometime around 5-5:30am. *g*

Re: Infinity's
*is envious*
There is no way I could have attended the midnight sale. (As parking is no option in Amsterdam, after one o'clock there are no more trains to go home, and I don't fancy going on my bicycle through that desolate area in the middle of the night.) I've just looked at some pictures and it looked as though they had lots of fun.

Re: Infinity's
I'm so woefully behind when it comes to technology - its frustrating. I need my kids to get a bit older so that they can do it all for me.
Cooler here today - lots of rain/lightning last night in the middle of the night...
