Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Aquaman in danger...

Nothing wrong with cosplaying. Unless your cosplaying an a character thats of the opposite gender. Then its a whole different story.

Nothing wrong with that either.  The only real thing to avoid when cosplaying is choosing a costume designed to best display the attributes of a figure entirely different to your own.

The balding, overweight, middle aged man in the skimpy japanese school-girl anime costume would look no better in a very masculine, but equally (or even moreso) skimpy gladiator costume.

And no, nothing opposite gender, although the friend I'm going with will be. She can pull it off, though.

I? Not so much. I am very very obviously female.

Wow, now there's some vivid imagery.

Better than what was going on at cons in the 70's. Let's just say the women (who thought they were hot) were going for the "less is more" look.

Is the lack of a costume (of any kind) a costume?

Depends. Is there anything in Anime similar to a Betazoid wedding?

Probably, anime can get a little perverse now and then.

Well, if you see a young woman with short-ish orange-ish hair, black shirt, one arm all straps, about five foot ten, perhaps with wings on ... go up and introduce yourself. That's my daughter, Chelsea.
