Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

All it would take is a little manual dexterity from this position.

Are you saying that the Internet should come with a warning label?

You're probably right.  Think I'll take a break...

And I must say that typing with my hands duct taped behind my back takes considerable care.

Williams law:

"Any topic that gets too full will begin to resonate so strongly with Silliness that life itself becomes grim and insupportable. Or just too silly."

How. The hell. Is this thread going to get any sillier?

The world is set to explode and then all the kittens will be doomed!

Doomed I say!

Finally beat Guitar Hero on hard...  Now for expert!  YAY!

Does the Chihuahua of Doom play the guitar?  What do villains usually do in their off time?  You know, when they're not being nefarious?  I mean, the more believable super-villains would do something other than plot the destruction of whatever they're planning to destroy...  I would think to make a villain more realistic we should find out what they like to do in their leisure time.

How about a super-villain who plays golf? Okay bad example, almost every corporate head plays golf...  Too many to choose from...

Perhaps he's into collecting stamps, but not just any stamps, he collects the stamps from his neighbors' letters before they're mailed.  He's got a little scrapbook for them with pictures of the homeowner next door talking to the mailman about the mysterious vanishing postage.  Our anti-hero likes to look at them and think to himself, "Ah, the simple pleasures of life."

Hee, Rybolton. Smarchers never forget - and the sillier the conversation the more likely they are to remember.

Could that be an add-on to the Williams' Law?
