Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: DOGBLOG: The Math and Manners Cave

Yikes! $40.00 bucks? Still, I guess that's a lot less than it would be to try to track down all of the individually published pieces... I guess I'll have to start saving my student pennies.

And am I being dumb by thinking that I can only get it through that site or will it be available elsewhere, sorry if I don't really understand the answer.

It must have an ISBN or something... I really hope I can order it offline! Because I can't order it online...

Yes, happy, happy birthday!!!

Re: RITE: SHORT WORK

Will Klett-Cotta do a German translation of the collection? That would be nice!

Re: DOGBLOG: The Math and Manners Cave

I'm not sure, this isn't DAW doing the publishing. You could go to the site and see what other books they have and then try to find out if Klett-Cotta translated any of those.

Happy Birthady to you Tad, and happy Pi day to Mr Einstein 126 today, against whom you are but a spring chicken, relatively speaking!
Have a great day.

Re: DOGBLOG: The Math and Manners Cave

Yes, a very happy birthday to you, Tad!

I wish I was clever enough to make this post different from the others, though - you know, make a joke or something outrageous like that. Oh well, it's got to be nice anyway to log in and see so many happy b-day messages, regardless of their content :)

Re: DOGBLOG: The Math and Manners Cave

Thanks, all.  So far, so good...

Wow.  I'm really old.  It's kind of cool.  But I never thought it would happen to me.

As far as the collection, I don't know if there'll be a German (or other foreign translation) of "RITE", but I'm certainly going to offer it to Klett.

Re: DOGBLOG: The Math and Manners Cave

Hi Ron! I know, I know, I'll write to the group. I've just been being really lazy.

On another note, what exactly is a Wraak?

Yes, cheap joke, I know, but I at least found the picture amusing :P

It's the dutch word for "revenge".

Happy Birthday Tad - hope the next year will be another good and walking stick-free one! (Not many of those left, now...) ^_^

Happy Birthday.

Now I should say something original. Either I go with the 'revenge' theme, or twist it into a 'Dutch' theme.

I second the whole cake thing.  Here's hoping for cake, pie, ice cream, and no dogs stealing any of it.

Happy Birthday, O Dogly One!
