Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

When's the party Jen?  I take it its not up at Mica this year?  I hafta go get an outfit for the party next Friday.  *sigh*  I need a 36 hour day right now.

It's on the 2nd and thankfully not in Mica. Heh. I'm wearing a little black dress. I hope the shoes work with it. They're awfully high, now that I think about it. I hope I can walk. lol!

@Jaime- I'm glad ya made it through. I don't envy you, that's or sure. People should get double pay for working days like that!

It's not snowing but it's windy. At least wind isn't warm and foggy.

*waves*

It's been a crazy week here, I've missed you all

*hugs*

And just to brag - We got buried here in a 24 hour snow fall

Less fun was that I didn't get my snow shovel out of the shed and the lock froze.....but all was ok after I cuddled it in my hands for 10 minutes !!!
I need to buy a lock heater.
Still it allowed me to live up to the crazy lady label.  :D

Not crazy - just not winter oriented sometimes :)

Seems like winter's finally here - temps dropping in Calgary & the sky looks grey - snow cloud grey.

I have to admit I will be happy if we have a white christmas.

It's been snowing here for a while. Looks nice. It's just started to stick, too. :)

Our snow stayed and we got a bit more.  And now it's just started snowing again.  Hopefully when I wake up it'll be nice and properly snowy.

Re: Infinity's

Oh-so very, very nice, thank you. Lots of people, good times, another party Friday night. And since I had the party the next night, not too many leftovers! :o)

Except the fudge. My daughter and her bf ("they call me Tim") made a huge batch of fudge (not the marshmellow-y creme kind, the cooked kind). I have got to hide it.

And yours, Jen?

Re: Infinity's

We had our Thanksgiving/Grey Cup party last night ~ much fun & food was had by all.  And the Edmonton Eskimos won the cup so all was good in my household.

Juli got an ear infection yesterday - had to come off the ice during practice, she was in a lot of pain.  I'm sure the helmet exacerbated it to where she couldn't skate.  One Dr visit & some pencillen later & she's feeling much better.

And I have a wicked cold.  Bleargh.

Re: Infinity's

Oh, what a weekend. We were gonna put the tree up yesterday but my husband got called out to work and then when he got back my son decided he had social commitments all day and into the evening so no tree then, either.

Well, now I'm not feeling too well and my husband has a sore back...

Meh.

*leaves soup for Calesta*

I'm glad you guys had nice thanksgivings. I think mine was decent, too, but it was so long ago now. :)

Re: Infinity's

Sounds a bit crazy Jen!  I go a bit buggy these days when my plans get changed or altered ~ stress of the season I guess.  I'm planning on tree & decorating this weekend....  if I don't sleep through it that is.

Re: Infinity's

It's -3ish and snowing lightly here. Not the pile up kind of snow, but the blow around kind of snow. Pretty, but cold. :)

*does a snow dance*

I'm going to have to start baking soon.

Re: Infinity's

Tropical Storm Epsilon just came on the radar. It is off Bermuda right now, but looks like it's going to pull a u-turn and head back out to the Atlantic.

And it's in the upper 70's here, and humid.

!?

Serious? That's cutting it pretty close, isn't it? I mean the season ends tomorrow, right? Wow. That's a lot of storms...

Re: Infinity's

Mother nature has certainly dropped winter here.  Yikes ~ just all of a sudden ~ we have a couple of inches of snow & its like
-17 with the windchill.  Hee.  I might pass out from anxiety thinking about the drive home tonight.

Re: Infinity's

We've had a couple of inches of snow & it was -15 out this morning.  Driving home wasn't too bad last night ~ just takes one or two outings before I feel a bit better about getting out there in the snow.

Re: Infinity's

No more snow here. We don't actually have any covering the ground. It's sad, really.

I like your picture of the city, Calesta. It looked lovely last night. :)

That's a great idea for a party AJ!

*toasts the lack of snow*

Its shivery here, that's for sure.  Wonder when the chinook is coming.....

Can't wait to go home tonight, build a fire & watch Lost.  I think I'll watch the Rudolph christmas special with the kids, too.

I guess I'd better dig out the advent calendar for tomorrow, too, hey?
