Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Infinity's

New for Winter and the Holidays.

Come on in, snuggle up by the fire, have something warm to drink and relax. :)

Nice new place Jen!

*snuggles up by the fire*

Obviously we need more duct tape around here!!

*belatedly waves at Peter*

Supposed to be double digits here all week - they're predicting +17 on Thursday.  It seems a bit ridiculous - our normal avg is 0 for this time of year...

Hey, I haven't been here for a while!

Jen, you remember that story I was writing? Seasons Pass? Well I got a slightly better edited version up on my website, now. Yay!

*blatant request for good smarchvibes*

I'm going to get my flushot in a few minutes and I'm terrified that it'll do something awful, like kill me.

I hate flushots.

*hugs jen*

I'm envious.  I need to go get a shot.  Nothing else has worked for me so I figure its time to try it.

It'll be over soon & then think of what good shape you'll be in for the flu season.

*more hugs*

Re: Infinity's

Jen - make sure they give you a lollipop. Last time I got a shot (tentanus), they didn't give me one. Made me sad.

Never had a flu shot. Never had the flu. *shrugs*

Re: Infinity's

Thanks guys. You made me feel much better. :)

*leaves hugs and brownies*

My arm hurt and I'm feeling a bit achey so far. But it's better than the flu. I came home and my son and I made chicken soup so we'll have dinner ready if we don't feel so well later on.

Is the weather getting any better where you are, calesta? It's awfully bland here.

@Marth--I'm glad that gamma didn't head your way. :)

Re: Infinity's

Yeah, Jen. You're tuff.

I'm glad that Gamma sputtered out in the Gulf with only localized weather disruption. *eyeing the calendar* Whew! Almost November 30th - official end of hurricane season. Did anyone bother to tell Mother Nature that?

Chicken soup? Love the stuff.

Someday will find you.

Re: Infinity's

Rice in this one. I used to use pasta sometimes but not anymore. Sometimes I use wild rice.

You?

Re: Infinity's

Usually use some form of pastina: acini de pepe or ditilini. My family likes it thick, with Italian-style herbs and lots of Parmesan cheese.

Served up with lots of fresh, crusty Italian bread.

Re: Infinity's

@ Jen ~ its warm & sunny here again - 15C I  think.  Crazy, this.  Thankfully people still seem to be buying lots of winter coats right now.  This place is so much better when sales are good, and its been a long time since they have been!

Re: Infinity's

That's quite the link, Calesta. Ugh. Those poor critters, all out there with no snow. It's sad. :(

*wanders around*

I still feel a bit icky today but I'm hoping to be a bit more productive. I wanna write my cards soon. :)
