Re: Infinity's

And on a whole other subject we have our first snow fall. It's settled but it won't stay as it should change to rain later - but still! Finally.  :)

Re: Infinity's

Its about time you guys had some snow!!

I really want a new cat.  Was hoping my hubby would let me get one last week while my mom was here, but no!  I guess we should wait 'til we're home from Christmas visiting.

Hmmm... my husband's gone for almost all of Jan/Feb.  Maybe I'll get one while he's away :)

Re: Infinity's

*grin*

Could work :)

Seriously, I don't know what it's like where you are but Feb through March here the shelters fill up with the ex-christmas presents. It's heart breaking, but if you wanted to give a home to an animal, it's a good time to do it.

Re: Infinity's

*wonders how many payraises she would have to get to be able to afford a new house*

Cause a) I want the next house to be catproof so I can have kittens
b) I want the next house to be a better house than this one (the current one is good and cheap, but can't house kittens)
c) a nicer house costs more money than we earn.

Re: Infinity's

That's great logic AJ!  I never thought of it like that but you're right & my husband should not resist such an argument.  I'm not having any more babies, he won't let me get the zebra finches I want & I'm not ready for a puppy yet so a new kitten is the best place for me to put my maternal emotions!!

*eyes AJ's snow*

Rain here.  Lots and lots of rain.  Poured pretty much all day.  Was raining when I woke up, I got drenched hiking from and to my car for class this morning and then went to work for almost 10 hours and it was still raining when I left.  Still raining now so I'm wondering if it'll still be raining in the morning.

If only it were a bit colder...

Re: Infinity's

The winds swung around last night - coming out of the west instead of the north so its much warmer here (yay!!) ~ above 0 all week for us.

We bought our HP tickets for Friday night.  Can't wait!  Going to a late show though (10:30), with young girls from the office who are used to going out that late, while I'm usually snoring by then.  Hafta have a great big gingerbread latte or something!

Re: Infinity's

Calesta - I've tickets for the Midnight showing ... don't know whether you'd call it late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Either way, I'll be dead on my feet Friday at work.

We thought about that one but there's no way we'd be able to function at work!!!  There's not enough coffee in the world!

Re: Infinity's

My oldest daughter made me do it! *grins*

Actually, we've seen the last few HP and LOTR movies this way ... a thoroughly good time. The only difference this year is I have class until 10:30PM Thursday, so I won't be able to get in a nap.

Re: Infinity's

Sounds like fun Marth!  Mine are still too little, especially for this one.

Can't wait 'til we can go to movies like this together - and until then there's always the Polar Express...

Keep up the dancing! We need to blanket the east because I don't like 15 degrees and rain downpours in November!

It's still in the 70s here as well, but that cold front will be barrelling through in about 2-3 hours.  It's supposed to be 37 tonight.

Re: Infinity's

I'm in the mood for some cheese & bacon scones.  Anyone want to come over to bake for me??

Girl's night out tonight ~ I had totally forgotten.  I'd rather not go as things seem to crazy right now & when that happens I get crazy and sick.  I don't want to be either.  But since I haven't seen my friends since Halloween I'd better go be sociable, I guess.

I'll bake the scones, but someone else has to make the bacon. :)

We just finished putting up the christmas lights. What an annoying task. *rolls eyes*

Re: Infinity's

Eeeearly Christmas lights! Heh. I'm holding off on doing anything Christmas-y till after next week- I want to get the Thanksgiving mess out of the way, first. When that's done, I'll go tree shopping, and get decorations for the apartment, and some more ornaments for the tree, and start sending out my cards.

Re: Infinity's

We're actually kinda late for lights around here. People put them up early in case we get a lot of snow later on. Makes it harder to put stuff up outside, all that snow.

Dun think we're gonna get a lot of snow this year. In spite of the way the old timers walk around talking like they're from Winterfell: "Winter is coming". It's funny to here a line from a book spoken around town. Especially when all it means to them is that winter is coming. :)
