Re: Infinity's
I *am* in summer holiday mode. I've been sleeping in and relaxing. Doing nothing, really. It's been great. It helps that the weather is something I enjoy: rain and clouds. :D
Well, I'm off to town. See y'all in a bit. Feelin' writerly today so I suppose my holidays are going to be suspended. :)

Hope you had fun in town Jen :)
Its all rainy-ish here too. Hopefully things will improve for the Canada Day weekend here. Gotta go to the in-laws for that one though.
*sigh*
Is it Thursday yet?

Re: Infinity's
Sure, it's thursday. :)
I'm in planning mode for my son's b-day party (which he's too old to refer to as a 'Birthday Party'--they're babyish, see.) I have to decide on a movie to rent and food to get.
Hmmm... Maybe 'Shaun of the Dead'? Boys would like that at his age... Or maybe some Monty Python. Is that too old? (as in, is it in his age range, not is it out-dated *g*) Or something with lots of explosions?

'Shaun of the Dead' was very funny, but they do use the 'F' word a lot. That last Bruce Willis movie (not 'Sin City', but can't remember the name) had lots of explosions and the first half had a decent storyline. I heard from male friends that 'Kung Fu Hustle' was hilarious but I haven't seen it yet.

It's practically raining without actually raining here, it's so humid.

It is ...
Too wet to go out And too cold to play ball. So I sat in the house. I did nothing at all.
So all I could do was to Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit! And I did not like it. Not one little bit.
Going stir crazy not being able to go outside. Raining so hard you need scuba equipment to cross the street!

Re: Infinity's
It's just a bit sprinkley here. Humid and warm, too. I'm not partial to humid, but it's better than sunny.
Got all the stuff I need for my son's party. Just need to pick the movie up tomorrow. He decided on Shaun of the Dead. Heh. (thanks Cyan, for your recommendations, I forgot about King Fu Hustle. *g*)

Re: Infinity's
Shaun of the Dead is an excellent film. Love it.
The problem with all this rain today is that it is going to get hot (well, it's pretty warm already) this weekend, which means a virtual steam bath outside.
On the island, tho', when it rained this much, the Peepers (a type of frog) would emerge and the sound they made was wonderful. Could be heard all over the island.

Re: Infinity's
Its been pouring here all day. Dunno what's going on on the rivers but I can't imagine its a good thing. I'm glad I don't have a house on the flood plain.
Our humidity is usually around 15% - the weather we've had so far this summer is unheardof for us - and the mozzies are out like crazy. I quite enjoy the humidity but then it also makes for tornadoes when the rain stops.

Re: Infinity's
Relative humidity here ranges from an average of 56% (afternoons) to 83% (mornings), with the highest relative humidity in August - 93% in the mornings.
Right now, it's 100%.

Re: Infinity's
25 C and 74% humidity. Can't believe it's only 74. Feels a lot more humid to me. I think having the weather report come from the airport - out in a clear area away from the water and away from all the boggy marshy areas around here - is probably not the most accurate of places to measure from. The rest of us all live down off the hills with buildings and trees blocking the wind. :p

Mmmmm.... cake. Not supposed to stop raining 'til tomorrow around here. Its getting on my nerves!!!
My daughter has requested an ice cream cake for her party. Hopefully DQ makes really small ones.
Her last day of school today - I'm very emotional over it. That's just me I guess. I used to get emotional when I was in school so why not carry on the tradition with her?

Cake is definitely a breakfast food. *nodding* Has eggs, flour and milk in it, the same things in pancakes!

Perfect.
*grabs 2nd helping*
On the bright side my husband is indulging my strange need to plan travel far, far in advance and is talking about taking me to vancouver for a few days in October (coincides with his going out there to meet up with his friends for his fantasy hockey draft, so really he has no choice). Was considering Vegas in January but since I love Vancouver so much... I'm going to pick that destination.
