Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

I had a 5th grader come to my desk at the end of my day, put a card and bag of m&ms on my desk, and then dash off at break neck speeds..

made my day.

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

Bought my wife one of the cards that plays music whenever it's opened. Thought at the time it was a good idea (haven't bought one before, so it made a change) but it nearly ended up in the bin after my son got hold of it and we ended up hearing the song non-stop for the rest of the day!!

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

There was a message on the student chalk board today for me to pick something up from the student mail cart, and a friend had left a valentine and some candy!  Was exactly what I needed to cheer me up before my flute lesson! :D

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

I got a rose from a colleague, but only because he had been given it on the railway station (by someone who was just handing out roses cause he/she got paid to do so). It was still fun though.

My so and I agreed not to do anything about valentine, since my birthday is the day before. (Yes we are as unromantic as that. *EG*)

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

St. Pat's is coming up... for those who haven't been playing along at home, we're Irish, so it's already a big deal, but it's also the anniversary of my grandmother's death.

we're having our usual family get-together this weekend, but it's gonna be weird this year.  short version:  one of my cousins was just in rehab and i'm the only one besides his parents who knows.  should make dinner interesting.

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

lol... i had the beginnings of a dragon story in my head yesterday but wasn't home last night... frankly, i'm feeling too unmotivated lol.  also too (insert wild-eyed crazy face here) to do much constructive.  thought about a reprise of last year's story but figured that would be a cop-out lol.  so, i'm being honest:  i'm lazy and distracted :)

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

i've been able to keep up with some of you on IMs and through my blog... but here's what's going on.

been spending a lot of time with Casey, and this is proving to be a bad thing for us.  things don't look good, and i can't say i'm sad about that.

been spending a lot of time with Aimee... this was starting to prove to be a bad thing for *me* lol...

got an apartment.  this is a great thing except that i need soooooo much stuff.  i'm mostly settled in with what i have, though.  i'm hoping to be on here more... i owe y'all a Dragontwins-in-Nawlins story if nothing else... i really miss everyone.

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

::waves arms::

for anyone who still cares... i broke up with Casey for good... we're gonna stay friends, but i dunno how that'll work out.  meh.

and i went to a Ren Faire this past weekend... i've had my first dragontail inspiration in months.  story coming soon.

at the request of Aimee, i'm compiling all the stories so she can read them.  it was kinda nice to reread everything from last year.  still miss NJB.  still in touch with him... he sent me a carepackage of trinkets and schlock, which i received the other day.  made me smile :)

and that's about all i really have to share tonight :) but, like i said, story soon... i was laughing out loud on my way to work today thinking of the potential of a dragon at a ren faire :)

Re: Mooey's Bouncy Castle

Oooh, Ren fairs and dragon tails. (Or did I misread that and should it have been tales?)
