I'm driving with my friend's mom out to Nova Scotia tomorrow to pick my friend up from school. Should be a fun trip. Leaving early tomorrow morning, getting there sometime on Wed. Staying over night, then leaving early on Thursday to get back here sometime on Friday.
Yay, roadtrip! :D

Re: Infinity's
Colds are awful. I've got the ending of one mixed in with bits of allergies. Uck.
Well, around here there are finally the early signs of spring. Trees are starting to look oddly greenish, daffodils are blooming and my Indian Helebore is sprouting.
Today I go pick up my new glasses. And more contacts, too. My prescription still feels a bit funny, so I'll have to mention that to the eye guy.
Then I do more spring cleaning. Yay.

Re: Infinity's
Indian Helebore? That sounds cool. What does it look like?
We're getting pretty springy around here - I think I'll do some work in the beds in the backyard tonight. Maybe. My neighbor is going to spray for spiders - some sort of less toxic biodegradable stuff - I don't want to but I think I have to do it if I'm going to be able to get into the flower beds at all.... I'm a wimp. I admit it.

Re: Infinity's
Spring sprang here a while ago. The wildflowers on the trip to Austin were lovely. Lots of blue bonnets and Indian paintbrushes and those yellow things whose name I can never remember. And the trees . . . All the different shades of green ranging from bright yellow green to that dark green firs always are. Way kewl. It would be really loverly if it stayed spring. ;D

Re: Infinity's
Sounds lovely Seith.
We're still a good month away from green trees and grass. Everything is ugly winter brown right now. Can't even plant anything in the garden until our May long weekend ('round the 22nd). *sigh* I love spring but I wish it would show up a little earlier up here.
I need to go find some lunch.

Re: Infinity's
we've been sprung for a while too. it's still kidna brown and winterish but everyday i can see a difference in the grass and trees, especially at the park when i take the dogget out. the big maple in front of our house is always one of the last to get it's leaves in the neighbourhood. it's one of the older trees that haven't been cut down because of rot yet. i'm not sure how old it is. i remember asking my dad when i was really little and he said it was 80 years. i asked him again last year and he said it was 80 years again. my mum overheard him and laughed and said that when she first met him and asked how old the tree was he said it was 80 years then too. i guess it's safe to say it's a bit older than 80 years. i hope it lasts for a long time yet. the main reason i took the small front room instead of the larger back room with the sun deck was because of that tree. but the way the big trees in the neighbourhood have been dropping lately it makes me kind of nervous.

It is in the 80's here as well - and expected to stay that way through the weekend.

Love spring. Best season. But I like summer lots, too. And fall, love the fall. Wish I could live in a three season world.

Re: Infinity's
Okay, I've accomplished nothing today. Blah. I wanted to spring clean my kitchen. Oh well.
My new glasses make me feel all wobbly. Very strange. Still haven't found contacts that are right. Meh.
As for spring? Well, it comes third on my list of seasons. Summer comes last.

Re: Infinity's
I absolutely agree with summer coming last on my list of favorites, Jen. But my first favorite is spring then fall then winter. If I could leave summer off altogether I wouldn't mind.

Yeah, summer blows. I like fall then winter then spring. Just leave out that blazing annoyance of summer and I'd be a happy girl. :)

Re: Infinity's
Summer came to Albuquerque in abrupt spurts around the end of winter, sometimes being blazingly hot and other times snowing two feet. I dread to think what will become of us between june and august. The only word I can think to describe it is... hell.

Re: Infinity's
It's still cool enough here to open the windows during the day to let the house air out. I don't expect that to last much longer before the infamous Texas Gulf Coast heat and humidity settle in for the duration. I suspect I wouldn't dislike summer so much if I were somewhere dryer and at a much higher elevation.
