Re: Infinity's

Oh, AJ, that sounds annoying. :(

The only things blooming here are crocuses. No daffodils or tulips yet.

Oh, wait, the grass is starting to grow back some. It gets so flat.

Re: Infinity's

I've got to get my herb garden going. Every weekend, lately, I've been either busy, it's been raining or I had skinned knees, which I could not expose to dirt!

This weekend looks promising! Rosemary (which is a perinnual down here), thyme (my kids when little thought it was funny Mum was growing time), oregano, basil (all sorts) and sage. My sister works in a nursery and brings me all the sad, but growable, plants that no one will buy.

Oh - I forgot, lavender!

Someday will find you.

Re: Infinity's

I noticed tulips breaking through the ground today, but i've no idea where the crocus have gone (do squirrels eat them?)

I love spring - mind you the winter clean up is a bit of work but after my lazy winter it's probably a very good thing! :D

We're getting our house and garden really sorted out this year ready to sell 2006/07.
I actually saw a house for sale today, right area, perfect layout, but 1-2 years too soon!
ah well, i should head off and get the children moving at least towards bedtime!

take care all, have a good evening :)

Re: Infinity's

Tulips, daffodils, narcissessess already bloomed here.

Cannot wait until the Magnolias start to bloom. The smell is heavenly, although the tree is uber messy.

Re: Infinity's

I miss the smell of the magnolias.
My neighbours have a huge bush but it doesn't have the scent that they have in the south, I think it's the combination of the heat and humidity brings out the scent.

We've had a weird school week this week - our teachers are on strike so Tuesday was no school, and no homework since the beginning of the month and then no school tomorrow and Monday although they're ped days.
It's not as if the teachers are making unreasonable demands - in fact they're really modest.
I'm so fed up with government policies in quebec.

Sorry got a bit ranty there!

Re: Infinity's

There's a magnolia across the street from the window of my department.  Hasn't bloomed yet, but practically everything ELSE has.  Daffs and tulips and violets and croci oh my.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of honeysuckle in another month or two.  :9

Re: Infinity's

I have a magnolia in the front yard and it hasn't bloomed yet either. I have a few canna scattered about and they are out. There's a creeper coming over my back fence that a friend said was honeysuckle. It hasn't bloomed if it is.

But there are lovely little wild flowers all over the place on the drive to work.

Re: Infinity's

Honeysuckle doesn't seem to bloom, at least around here, til late spring when the evenings are warm.  And it only lasts a couple of weeks - but when it does, oh, it's heavenly.  The large bush crawling with honeysuckle at one street corner got torn down, but there are still a couple others in the neighborhood that I can stick my nose into.

Honeysuckle's another one that smells so good on hot summer nights. Also, jasmine.

Re: Infinity's

Well, all our snow is gone again and it's warm enough that I have the windows and doors open.

My son is home with a cold, my husband is in an off-shift phase and all I wanna do is write, read, game and maybe garden, though it's still too cold for that, really.

Re: Infinity's

I'm supposed to be preparing for my trip tomorrow and all I've done all day is play on the computer. I'm such a bad girl. Now I really have to sign off to do laundry, go to the bank, etc. and so on and so forth.

Don't have too much fun without me! ;D

*waves to Seith*  Have a great weekend!!!

I get to leave soon, too.  I'm so tired.  I may just sleep the whole way through the mountains.

Re: Infinity's

OK, so I've still been a bad girl. All I've done since I signed off earlier is knit and read and watch TV. The laundry is washed & dried, but I haven't taken it out of the dryer yet. I still haven't been to the bank or packed. I am just such a procrastinator! I'll probably wind up packing and hitting an ATM before I leave town in the morning.

Re: Infinity's

I'm packed. Sent the Prodigal Son to the bank for money. Now all I have to do is shower, top of the tank, and pick up a cup on coffee for the road.

Have fun while I'm gone!

Re: Infinity's

Sorry to hear that Jen, colds are no fun

I spent most of today sitting outside at my friends house with two other friends while all our boys played together - probably a good job all her neighbours work!!
And I've caught the sun - time to dig out the lotion!

Had the most beautiful rain yesterday. Today it's sunny, though.

Spring cleaning is continuing. :)

That's soo typical. It all starts out as an innocent bloody conversation and then it ends in Garden work!

Garden work can be fun. Sometimes. :)

Sunny here again. Meh. It'll be sunny until november now, with forest fires and thunderstorms for a bit of spice. Ick.

*waves to Jen*

Had a good time this weekend on your side of the mountains...  wasn't very nice weather wise but since we were inside scrapbooking it was okay.

Tough to come back to reality today.
