Infinity's
Welcome to the spring version!
Time to move out to the patio. :)
To the right, books; to the left, a tea-cup. In front of me, the fireplace; behind me, the post. There is no greater happiness than this.

Hi :)
It's a beautiful day here, I've been raking up the leaves that have come down over winter, and piling up the branches that came down. Only one tree fell down this year, so it's all good! :)

Sets down tray of drinks with little umbrellas in them. Enjoy!
So far, weekend's been very quiet - laying on couch reading with leg up in the air. Knee I skinned badly on Wednesday last night swelled, turned an angry red color and was hot to the touch. Much better this morning, but not taking any chances. So, spent the day with a stack of "to be reads" and being waited on hand-and-foot. Not too shabby.

Re: Infinity's
Knee's looking better this morning. Has turned a delightful shade of green as the bruising subsides.
For all of you who think I may be over-reacting (after all, it is only a skinned knee), my youngest once got a "super infection" from a skinned knee - took over a month on strong antibiotics (oral and topical) to knock the darn thing out. Almost ended up hospitalized with IV antibiotics. All from a skinned knee. *shrugs*

Re: Infinity's
I'm having an attitude adjustment weekend so I have been particularly unproductive. All I've done is watch TV (tho I haven't a clue what's been on) and work some logic puzzles. I've not done any cleaning or reading or working on projects or any of those other things one has to do to maintain a household.

Bleh; I hear you, Seitherin. ~flops on one of the remaining deckchairs and happily snags a drink~ I'm dogsitting for my parents which isn't, in and of itself, at all a horrible thing. I've just had far too much time by myself to think about things I've been trying not to think about.

Re: Infinity's
Skinned anything sucks. I went concrete surfing about this time last year and tore a couple holes in my hand and roughed up my elbow. Stung like a beeeeeeeetch for a week.
I was feeling crappy this morning - fatigue and irritated at my boss who was being irritable (and when he's irritable he's aggressive and kinda mean), but after he went away and I ate lunch I felt considerably better.

Re: Infinity's
I'm wavering between being okay and not being okay. I've been tidying mum's house and found a card she gave my dad, and it's so clear she adores him. They'll be one of those wonderful old couples that clearly can't live without each other, and I got all teary over it.
But it's a gorgeous day out and I keep wandering outside to sit in the sunshine for a few minutes here and there (not too long as the ground's wet, sadly) and it feels good.
It's just one of those days. I can't decide what sort of mood I'm in, so I'm not really in one.

Re: Infinity's
Just got nice new (at least to us) table and chair set for screened-in po'ch in the back. Now can eat dinner out there instead of stuffy ol' dining room.
Now I need new seat pads, place mats, oh - and, I do not like my old dinnerware anymore. I totally need new dishes, flatware and glasses. *nodding*
Pottery Barn next weekend!

Had a great weekend ~ it was my birthday so I got to be queen for a couple of days & lots of nice prezzies.
And now I only have 4 work days 'til I'm off to BC again with the girls from the 'hood. Can't wait.

I'm at work *waving to Calesta*
Back to the grind of reading documents and summarizing and organizing them. *bleh* The problem is, once I've got these stacks cleared off my desk, more appear - magically.
And my boss is on a tear to clean up the client database - everything coded correctly and in its right place, which means LOTS of data entry for me. I do not like cleaning up other people's messes.

Neither do I. We have a team of support staff who are supposed to help us with our data entry stuff. I hate using them because I'm a control freak & the girl who used to work for us made all kinds of mistakes. So I do it all myself. But this week I have some really tedious work - so I handed it off & its all messed up. I want to scream. I don't have time to check this much less fix it. Why can't people do their jobs right??

Re: Infinity's
I feel your pain. Last Summer, hired a whole bunch of people to input data.
After the person who was supposed to be overseeing the whole process left (she reported to me), I found out she wasn't doing her job right all the time either. Major OT last Summer trying to straighten the whole thing out!
Sometimes, it is just easier to do it yourself. At least you know it will be done correctly the first time.

Re: Infinity's
It snowed here this morning! Got a nice dusting. Heh. It was very strange, though, with hockey-puck size flakes.
Then I went downtown to do some errands. Ick. But I came home with a scratching post for the cats, in hopes of saving my new furniture. Two of them have figured it out already. Amazing.
Now I'm off to have breakfast. Lunch. Brunch. Whatever.

Thanks Peter! Good to see you... life going on as usual I presume?
@Jen - it almost feels like snow here today. I imagine its saving itself up for Thursday night - just in time for our drive through the mountains.
