Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Re: Infinity's

*munches timbits*

*passes out cups of tea*

Why am I giving people tea? What happened to Infinity? Shouldn't he be magicking up cups of tea for us while trying not to look too beautiful? Maybe he doesn't like our outdoor patio. I can't picture him standing in the rainy garden waiting for us to want cups of tea... Wait a minute. I can picture that. Oh, pretty.

*leaves hugs for Calesta* Hope your day gets better!

Re: Infinity's

I like that image, jen!  Another reason to start cheering for fall I suppose - we can move back inside by the fire & snuggle up with our kitties, our books & our blankets.

Its so rainy & cold here today.

I'm going to take Juli school shopping tonight.  It freaks me out that we're hitting this milestone.  I'm so excited for her.

And now I'm going to yoga...

Re: Infinity's

School shopping is fun. I'm going to do my son's shopping this weekend. His first year of high school. Gah.

And for fun and enjoyment and much giggling, I have dug out my super-ancient original Infinity's post. I will stick it in the new room. Heee. I can so write better than that now. It must be three years old, eh? Okay, I like to hope I can write better than that now. Those who have read my writing will know the truth. ;)

Cold? It's still unforgiving summer down here in albuquerque. Curses.

the prophecy mentioned that either he or voldemort must die, or they will both die. or something like that. It seemed to imply (to me) that harry will survive the evil one, unless JKR has a wicked sense of humor...

Anyways, I think Harry will become the permanent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, from the look of things.

School started on monday for me, and in the last two days I have walked so much (about 20 miles) that my ankle has strained itself. I was surprised, when I suddenly found that I couldn't walk... thankfully it's wearing away and now I just have sore calves.

Re: Infinity's

Hey, yeah!  That's a good idea!  Go Harry! :D
Now I want to reread the 5th book even more... *fidgets*  I wonder if I'll last until my birthday...  Probably not. heh

It's horribly hot here today.  Icky.
*melts*

I'm trying to keep this day from getting to me.  I'll stay in a good mood.  Yep.  Fun fun!  Happy!  Look how nice it is to be going to work!  Yay for too much for us to keep up with!  Keeps me employed!  Yeah, that's it!  Maybe if I just keep thinking/typing/saying everything with exclamation marks that'll help!

Its raining so hard here I think I should build an ark.

Re: Infinity's

Well, work was not too bad.  Except that just as I was leaving I went to put down the extension on the counter and the release lever bit me.  Holy cow, did that hurt.  Then I had a numb spot on my finger for a bit.  It's ok now except for a purpuly-red mark.

There's a show about bugs on tv.  Odd.

I don't like bugs. Ick.

*does not put bugs on calesta's ark*

I'm having an ethical dilemma.

I went shopping for some items of clothing yesterday.
Why is shopping for myself always such a trauma?

Re: Infinity's

I don't know AJ - but I have the same problem....  I hate it.  We did Juli's school shopping last night - much more fun for me.  I wanted to look for some new stuff but didn't have the energy.  Got some new MAC eye shadow though.  Much easier to shop for makeup.

Re: Infinity's

I hate shopping for myself too.  Very frustrating.

I have a day off today!  I'm considering trying out a soup recipe.  I've never made soup before.  We'll see.  I also need to practice flute for once.

Re: Infinity's

hee hee!
That could be fun.

Which reminds me that the clarinet teacher at my uni and his wife (who also plays clarinet) do catering.  And it basically works just like you just mentioned, Calesta.  They have the people come over to their house, they serve them a nice meal and if the people want, play chamber music while they eat.  What a great idea. :)

Re: Infinity's

School shopping? whatisthat?
I haven't gone school shopping with my kid in at least 5 years. I just hand her the money now. Actually, this year I didn't even do that, she worked all summer and used her own money. *sighs* *feels unneeded* wait... there IS always laundry to do...

Re: Infinity's

*grins at Ett*  you can always fund my daughter's school shopping :)

That's a cool idea flupes!  Maybe you should start evening sessions here at Infinity's  (if Jen & Infinity don't mind that is).

Re: Infinity's

Of course we don't mind. :) It would be really nice, actually.

I'm thinking of making something autumnish for dinner. Don't know what yet.

My ethical dilemma: It's to do with the new karate class I've started. It's causing me great mental anguish. I feel I've become a traitor to all I've learned by starting over in a different style. It's painful. Emotionally. Meh. I dun know what to do.
