Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

*noticed Libbete's response to Marian's "how ya doin'" question, and remembers that he should reply also*

Sorry...I'm fine, Marian. I'm just contemplating something regarding the GE...

I have to wake up real early tomorrow, and if I don't write a blerb for the GE now, I probably will just drop the whole thing forever.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Back Room 2

And this: ". Because when coming in the morning, broke is it all everything to be because when the children."

Someone, anyone?

I can only interpret this in that way you see those 3D images when you squint and lose focus. Then this becomes, "Because  all Hell will break loose in the morning when the kids get up."

Bets, not bad. Tired-like, but in as SS is: until I can Smarch no more.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Back Room 2

Maybe he means simply that the kids'll break stuff in the morning.

But I think that last interpretation was more corrector. Or at least more correcter than the words corrector and correcter.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Back Room 2

OK, Marian, I can't make heads nor tails of that quote... all I know for sure is that it caused the language centers of my brain to collapse to the floor in helpless laughter.

It's like when my friend and I spent about 2 hours running stuff through Babelfish to create whole webpages worth of text like that.  We were laughing hysterically the whole time.  And then I found out that when he was really young, he used to take the letter-shaped fridge magnets and make gibberish words with them, and then force his mom to "read" them to him, while he rolled around on the tile laughing.  -_^

Man, I need to get me some of those letter-shaped fridge magnets!  Where do you suppose one gets those?

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Back Room 2

No one can say that over-analysis of Tad's words isn't fun, at least. :)

And now that we've reached the big two-five, I'm officially moving to #3.

See ya' there!
