Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Quiller's Mint -- the Back Room

I thought this might be nice to resurrect, and in fact we might even run it #1, #2, and so on for a while, making it the main conversational QM topic.  Then people can create specialty topics if they want -- a party for an evening, a fund-raiser, whatever.

However, I'd prefer if we didn't open a bunch of topics that look too much like this.  That's why I left "Quiller's Mint" in the title, even though the whole thing is the Quiller's Mint: it makes it easier for people to find.

Anyway, when you need it, here's the next QM converation area...

Re: Quiller's Mint -- the Back Room

Ahh, another back room.

*Sits*

Well, it's been a heck of a day.  Just been jilted.  Won't be camping this weekend.  Grarrrrr

And I am working, right now, on drawing a birthday card for a friend.  It is quite cool:  it's a Noah like scene, except Noah is an African guy in a mask, and the bird is flying far above the earth.  I must be on acid.

Oh, excellent! I like the idea of QM -- the Backroom (#) quite alot. The named rooms have been fun, too, but sure can be confusing. Especially when we burn through 'em as fast as we do.

Anything but that! By the way, Rook, you should look at the most recent message in the "abyss." Hehe... Oh, by the way, Tad, don't go there. You never saw this message.

Cubans and Cognac!  I love it.  Specially at work.  Hopefully, I don't set off the fire alarm.

If anyone else brings up that picture again, nobody in that forum is ever going to get to be a mantis. LOL...

I don't think so, though I'm not sure. Rook could answer that one for you.

Jiriki!  You missed the Driftwood photo?  Go back into the Abyss, pronto!

Jiriki was talking about the *other* one.  The not as funny one, but still good for laughs.

I say we tell him that we have a real fancy gift that we're going to give him, but only if he stays online for fourteen hours straight and not pay any attention to his wife during that time.

Re: Quiller's Mint -- the Back Room

All right, my little Smarchliki, the old guy's going to go take care of domestic stuff.  I'll be back later on, after we get done with this Guthwulf and this Matt Dusek fellow.  Don't know what THEY could want.  Whatever happened to a peaceful evening at home?
