Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

You can play them in Winamp and use the DiskWriter output.
This writes them out as .WAV files which can then be burnt onto CD by any standard CD writing program.

Yes, you can do that if you use an old CD writing software, but most programs today can directly burn MP3 files (e.g. Nero 5).

No, if you create an audio CD in Nero and add MP3 files to the project, it will check the MP3 files and will convert them to wav files on the fly during the burning process.

Every old CD burn program can burn MP3 files as data files ;)

Re: Idiot

Aaah! I want those mp3s! *whithers*

I'd have a great place to host them at least temporarily, too. Budamax, can you come to IRC sometime and just join #shadowmarch & look for a Neike? Then DCC me the mp3s? Because I really, really want that music on my comp. :)

Re: Idiot

as always, i dont' feel like it right now, but if you guys keep bugging me, i'll probably do it eventually. as of now i'm suffering from a headache, depression, insomnia, itchiness, and racing thoughts. plus the lamp, which provides not nearly enough light at any time of the day when needed, is irritating the corner of my eye. my headphones, like usual are on and no music is playing. my slouching habit is making the middle of my already-ruined-from-hallucinagens spine feel crunchy and just not right, and blah blah blah everything sucks. if you never hear the songs you won't die.

*bugs Bumadax*

And I may not die without the songs, but I sure want them. As far as I'm concerned I might be the only Idiot fan I've yet stumbled across, judging from the myplay stream. ;/

Re: Idiot

Hey everyone,

Not all the Idiot tunes have been uploaded to the site yet -- Buma, are there more on the way? -- but you can get what we have

>>> HERE <<<

in the meantime.  Once all the tracks are present, we'll do it up all proper-like.

Re: Idiot

Oooh, I love this music. Indeed. I could hardly remember it from the ten minute stream I managed to catch on myplay.com, but I'm happy now I have the mp3s.

I'll be putting it on 440.datavibe.net soon, so people with dialup can get the individual mp3s at an acceptable pace. *begins uploading & sharing (madly)*

Re: Idiot

As soon as this finishes uploading, people with dialup, or, alternatively, people that want to see what they are downloading and/or only download one at a time, there'll be a location here:
