Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Yay!!! Tomato time for me!!!  WOO HOO!!!

As Flupi reaches the magic number a pile of tomatoes appear and levitate just in front of the fire.

The assembled crowd realise that a fire in the Treehouse probably isn't a good idea.

Better hope those tomatoes aren't filled anything flammable. Such as, for example, dried pineapple husks...

[Edit - might as well spell tomatoes properly.]

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

Oy.  I hate computers.  I need a full-time tech just to keep things halfway functioning.  You know, I used to WORK for Apple and I can barely keep my Mac functioning.

Hi, I'm grumpy.  Don't pay any attention to me.  I've spent the entire afternoon trying (and failing) to remedy a problem I didn't have this morning.  Wouldn't be so bad except I've had days and days of that in the last few months, all computer-related.

It gets so I'm afraid to upgrade any software at all.

Damn, this puts me in a bad mood.

Anyway, hi.

Bye Flupi :-)

Poor Tad.  A sick monkey and a sick Mac.

The good news is that we'll all be headed over to the stable soon, and then you can chase mice or something.

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

*offers Tad one of the many tomatoes which seem to be lying around*

Computers are evil.
My CDRW drive appears to have taken a dislike to my new hard disk - and so now won't actually read music cds properly.
Even ones which have worked in the past.

(I've never really understood how they can advertise CDRW drives as being "Create Your Own Music CD" devices at the same time as giving the standard blurb about "Not Violating Copyright")

Meanwhile my Windows installation seems to delight in randomly changing the screen refresh rate of my monitor whenever I switch on. ie. Sometimes it's fine, and other times it fesses up. And there's no way of telling which it's to be.

Ah well. It was probably SO much better when everything was done with quill pens and ink.

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

Tad, I think we've all migrated down to the stable now, so you can close up shop here if you'd like.

Please and thank you.
