Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Quillers Mint : The Fountain

I accidentally tried that myself once . . . I also have a habit of ringing my own phone number from home.

Re: Quillers Mint : The Fountain

hehe, That reminds me of the time I moved into a new place and my new phone number was very close to that of my best friends...
It took me two weeks of constant busy signal when I tried to call my friends to work out that I had been ringing my own number :D

Re: Quillers Mint : The Fountain

Ack. I just got a voice-mail from a guy I used to work with, calling me "hot stuff."

Is there an emoticon for "disgust"?

Possibly.  The real question is, does it convey the appropriate level of disgust or fall far, far short?

Re: Quillers Mint : The Fountain

I'm starting to feel a really bad mood develop. I really don't want to visit my mother. The woman drives me mad. But I can't nicely get out of it. What an awful way to spend a friday.

Jen, that's exactly how I feel when I have to see my father.

All you can do is nod and smile, I'm afraid.

Jendaiya- that's a bummer. Do you have to spend your whole Friday with her?
Can't you sneak out and go to the movies or something? :)

Re: Quillers Mint : The Fountain

Hmm.  It looks like the fountain is about to crumble away from the weight of Smarchers playing about it.  Anyone got a good idea for the new "back-room"?

I suggested the other day that we go sit on the fence, and have 25 pages of mild-manneredness . . .

Treehouse, the larder is ALWAYS well-stocked here!

Wiked, I saw that photo of you in the Tempest, and I can say that if I was drunk enough there is some chance that I might possibly be inclined to consider calling you hot stuff!!!!
