We could make this a game. Everyone gets one of the four directions to linger in. Then when a new person comes into the mint, the person to first greet that person claims said person for their direction and only the people IN that direction get to talk to the person... *laughing at her random insanity* (Now you see why boredom is not something I know).

And shop raiding is not really my thing. Though I guess it would be an option in an empty city. I guess that a really empty city would be quite creepy though... even for someone who doesn't much like people...
