Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Quiller's Mint -- the Roof Garden

G'night, Tribe.  We'll miss you.  Not your sunflower seeds, but the rest of you.

As far as the sigs, hmmmm, I just kind of get the urge to change, and say, "What do I feel like sticking on there today?"  Usually it's something I've just read or been thinking about.  But mostly what I've been thinking about in the last two days is babypoop and basketball, and neither of them are particularly riveting sig material.

*Finally, a place with sufficient artistry. She ambles up the stairs, emerging into the velvet night--and heads straight for the gazebo, the latticed heart of any garden.*

I agree, definitely cryptic. Even when I don't get cryptic, I dig cryptic.

Come, come, whoever you are.

It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.

Re: Quiller's Mint -- the Roof Garden

So now i could like, quote tad, quoting me, which would be cool for like, so many reasons, and it could continue until we have like this infinite quote.

A radish?

Re: Quiller's Mint -- the Roof Garden

Thanks.  I thought I'd go for that recursive, Pynchonian, hall-of-mirrors thing.

Why are you hurting yourself, by the way?

Yep, they're down all right. They won't be talking back like that again for quite awhile, I shouldn't think.

I marvel at you too, Bet! Impressive.

I think I scared everyone away...they probably thought I was going to try and feed them cupcakes again.

I was only here because I heard about the cupcakes.  You mean there aren't any?

You don't scare me, red.  Possibly because I didn't get a cupcake!
