Pixel Lab: This one sent me on the road to find a workaround for linux's inability to deal with shockwave and quicktime. Spent most of yesterday on that. No luck. Grrr!

No need. I'm in a distinct minority here, after all. That's no reason to deprive the others of cool sites.

I think that Kehv was having problems as well; but I'd hate to force anyone away from the halcyon Linux and into the horrors of Windows, so I'll keep them to a minimum.

my site is all flash. i don't even have meta tags in case someone wanted to search for me. FLASH FLASH FLASH!!! it rocks. i can play with code easy, in fact my site used to be pure HTML, way back when. i just work better with the visual right there in front of me. well that was my random post of the day. oh wait, they're all random, NM.

Oh, and talk about computer stupidies... my roommate insists that she does computer programming for her parents' business. and i quote, "computer programming." I was surprised when she stated this, because she is an anthropology major and her windows 95 laptop crashes constantly--i have to help fix it a lot (as much as i can, anyway.) i asked exactly what she was doing that she considered "programming" and she said "oh you know, installing the programs (i.e. clicking the next box over and over, then the finish box when it's done,) and entering data into excel."
HEH--i told her that people go to school for four years or more to be computer programmers, and that it's a little bit more complex than what she's doing, and she insisted that she was programming her computer. at that point i just had to shrug...
