Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

The last one was a half-finished sketch of Briony that turned out to suit a scene in episode 9, so I tweaked it a bit - unfortunately, I had to erase an already detailed hairstyle to get the gabled hood in, and the newsprint tore.  Bah.

But that's okay, newsprint's just for scribbles; I can transfer it to better paper later.

Re: doodlemarching

very nice work -s- seems to me that you keep on trying out different styles and such.

i -really- like the one of the person in the cloak holding up the lantern.. the warmth of the light works really well with the rest of the darkness.

Re: doodlemarching

Just to prove that my muse has a very bizarre sense of humor, I've put a new sketch up.  Somebody (and I can't remember who, now) made a comment over in Dog Street about Yasammez in a bikini, and I grabbed my pad of newsprint and ran with it.

Good one Jaime!...she doesn't seem quite so menacing now, despite the sword and wild look...

Standard fighting gear for female characters except, I think, the bikini needs to be made of chainmail. <g>

Re: doodlemarching

Thanks for the kind comments.  :D

Except, in typical Picky Artist fashion, it occurred to me just now that not only is she leaning rather far to the right, one boob is bigger than the other too.  I know that's common in women, maybe even in Qar women, but an entire cup size is pushing it!

Maybe she just gets to exercise that side more? It is her sword arm, after all. ;)

Re: doodlemarching

Really, Jaime, if you hadn't pointed it out, would never have noticed. Of course, there may be some people who would be looking a bit more closely at that area than I.
