Re: Through the Looking Glass - All Things Photography

I have just discovered that Picasa Albums lets you plot your photo's on a map! Yaay! Now you can see exactly where they were taken!

*is impressed by gadgetry like that*

And I might as well post my other two galleries as well, just for kicks!

Re: Through the Looking Glass - All Things Photography

Been taking a few photos here at mum and dad's recently. Just did one of a dust cloud at sunset. Because my camera can autobracket (Take multiple successive shots at different exposures) I plan on making an HDR shot of it.

(HDR = High Dynamic Range and is a postprocessing technique where you take 3-5 shots of different exposures, from underexposed to overexposed, and merge them into one photo and create a nice, high contrast shot. Because I was shooting the sunset it will allow me to reduce the brightness of the sun and increase the brightness of the foreground and make the photo look like what it actually looks like with my eyes ^-^)

Re: Through the Looking Glass - All Things Photography

Our trip to Magnolia Gardens today (definitely a work in progress):

Azaleas

Birds and Animals

Signs

Spanish Moss

Trees

I hope I did this right. If anyone has any pointers for Picasa?

Re: Through the Looking Glass - All Things Photography

There's more; I haven't finished sorting through them all.

Here was my favorite flower: Sarah Bernhardt Camellia. The Camellias were mostly past peak color, but every now and again, there was one.

ah well. There's always next year.

What I am a bit sorry about, though, is not having taken a picture of the Witch Hazel together with the Iris reticulata. That's an incredibly beautiful combination.

[whispers]actually, it's Amaryllis.[/whispers]
