What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
we prolly shouldn't crash poor smarch so close to its demise.
and i'm going to attempt to read Persuasion to mabs. as soon as i pry his fingers from his keyboard ;)
apart from that, i bought a new book called "rebel angels" by libba bray. it's the next book after "a great a terrible beauty." kidslit. yay! i love kidslit. but it's quite decent and i enjoyed the first one, so hopefully the second one will be good, too.

Re: What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
i've been quite stessed out this year, and i haven't done any reading for pleasure since ... like ... january. isn't that terrible??
i've started to reread shadowmarch because i wanted to read shadowplay, but i can hardly remember shadowmarch.
i think my life is WAY too busy. i need to slow the heck down.
Give me a pair of red pumps, and I can conquer the world.

*hands Susan a time turner* This could help.
I'm torn (after I finish "Death Masks") between the "Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove" and "The Time Traveler's Wife." I am so happy to have time to read for pleasure again ... I didn't know how much I missed it.

I'm still working on The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Michael Chabon. I only have about 20 pages left but it's taking me forever.

Is that because it isn't a good book, or you do not have the time?

Re: What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
I always have that problem. Reading a very good book - The Bonehunters, it's just taking me a while to finish. At least for my standards. I can usually finish a book like this in less than three weeks.

My biggest problem with reading good books, is I tend to rush through them, get to the end and think "I wish I had read that slower."

Re: What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
That's another of my problems. I read Shadowmarch way too fast and remember little about it, so I can't read the sequel yet. I'll have to reread it, or I might wait till the final one is out, then read all three in a row.

Yeah, I read Shadowmarch quickly when it came out in hardcover, and since I hadn't read it since then, I barely remembered many of the events of the first volume when I read Shadowplay. Slowly, I remembered some things, but I don't recommend doing it that way.

Re: What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
Eragon - borrowed from my little cousin (who is, incidentally, on my list of people who I'm going to get hooked on Tad. If she's reading this book at 10, she is doomed.) I've heard enough things about this book to want to read it, but not enough good things to actually buy it, and my library sucks. And now that school is over, I need to read, read, read. And having been ill, I didn't have a chance to buy any books yet. Where is my order, anyway? *goes to poke amazon*

Re: What Are You Reading Now, Hmmmmm?
My latest amazon order showed up. Night Watch, Day Watch and American Psycho.
I'm not gonna read any of them, though. I'm waiting for the third book in the Night Watch series before I read those. American Psycho I just read and loved so I had to own it. I'm prolly gonna read the first three Ripley novels by, uh, what's her name... Patricia? Highsmith? People keep telling me I'll like them. *shrugs*

*done with poking*
what do you mean, June 26-28? you really had enough time to get them here by tomorrow! *sulks* Eragon isn't going to last that long any more. I shall suffer horribly from book-withdrawal. *starts twitching just thinking about it*

yeah, I know... horrible. But all that's left of my TBR pile are some plant books, and I'm not in the mood for them. Soon now, soon now, I'll go to the bookshop again.

Now, now, Jen. There's more than enough to go around.

Would you look at that tight-end? *drools*
