Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Re: DOGBLOG: Underwater Man vs. the Chihuahua of Doom

Long day, just about to go to bed.  Went to a party with four friends, two of them Brits, so the group was exactly split -- we were 3 yanks and 3 from the sceptred isle.

Which basically meant I had to drink twice as much as usual, because you can't sit around with my wife and other British folk and not have a few drinks, damn it.  It must be done.

So it was a long and cheerful evening.

I'll come in and say something more useful tomorrow.  I actually had several thoughts I was meaning to air, but I just haven't the brain for it tonight.

A very jolly night and morning to you all.

Ahh yes, the English have a lot of stamina when it comes to the drink.

Ack! I fold.

Does she drink that chinese rice wine stuff that gets up to 80%-90% alcohol? I hear that stuff can also be used to fuel rc helicopters and degrease engines.

Sorry, but that's what you get for drinking with Englishmen.

What you get by drinking with Englishmen is a "coyote ugly" morning.

And a mad hangover.

Re: DOGBLOG: Underwater Man vs. the Chihuahua of Doom

No more monkeys jumping on the bed.

I have waited all day for a moment of reflection and now I discover I can't get any use out of it.  Too tired.  Curse you, children and tiny dogs!

I'm very much going to have a lot to say tomorrow, though, you darn betcha.  I just...need to close my eyes for a minute...that's all...

Re: DOGBLOG: Underwater Man vs. the Chihuahua of Doom

One of my old pals is Glaswegian, and when we worked away we had an what was essentially an endless expense account.  I worked away for 5 months with him and when I came back I didn't drink for a month; not because I was worried that I couldn't, I was just pickled.  The barman didn't take my car keys, he confiscated my organ donor card.
